As its the same people making making GOX show repeat again and again ! Specially the fanboyz who where telling i totally trust Cryptsy and they never go poof ! Similar to Garza fanboys ! Without this fanboyz, truth would have came out pretty soon ! Blind dumb herd mentality followers !

Only reason the phishing attempt is being done is because of how fucked up and down ol Vern and company has been operating their scam... I mean business... damn... I keep accidentally calling Craptsy a scam for some reason....

phishing email or not, they will shut down anyways for sure, and believe me thats a good thing for cryptoworld

I agree with you, I left Cryptsy a long time ago, after a lot of withdrawal issues when a coin was
being traded massively, sometimes withdrawals took days. I always suspected them trading themselves
with my coins

Did they have given any proof to show that their fund in cold storage has been theft, how that can occur ? Smells fishy Roll Eyes

That's a well known scenario. Sounds like typical 'exit strategy' for troubled exchanges. It's actually pretty convenient to close the business because of 'oops, we got hacked, no money for you - blame the hacker', rather than sorting out all the issues and pay back all the creditors.

According to Cryptsy twitter ( Bigvern@cryptsy) it's a phishing attempt

Quote: 'A new phishing attempt is out. It is not from cryptsy. Do not acknowledge it'

I agree. Do not start that "refund procedure " because most likely they'll ask you to enter your password and username and from then things might go really bad.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people nowdays who attempt to make money by cheating others.

It appears this IS a Scam attempt.

It looks like hackers have managed to get all customer info, AND have control of Cryptsy email server - as the sam email they sent out came from Cryptsy servers.

So while not an expert I would suggest changing your password on Crytpsy to a strong one, make sure 2FA is enabled, and not to act on ANY email received from Cryptsy - check their website directly for updates.

Just had an email from support@crypts saying it has closed.

The headers are identical to recently received valid emails, so it looks legit.
