I've stopped using cryptsy for ages now. I almost had a heart attack when my coins dissapeared for almost 2 damn days.

I'm surprised websites with heavy reliance upon scripting don't suffer these shortfalls more often tbh.

Don't use autosell features and check your orders by yourself before submitting it. If you use limitorders then there's no way it would sell below or buy above that amount.

Well, if you want to buy or sell for a specific price cryptsy allows you to place a limit order.
If you want just sell your coins or buy coins to or from the guy want to buy/sell at the best rate, then you have to take what you get.

You cannot make a non-limit order and complain you didn't get the price you wanted. Not cryptsys fault imo.

Pretty much there was this "phantom order" which enabled people to buy megacoins at a super cheap rate. The order was removed once prohashing pointed it out but cryptsy never repaid any of it's customers. Hope Mr. Vernon does the right thing.
