That's a fantastic idea. You might also take a look at https://www.scidex.co/ in order to get some good info about the team, working system, legality, durability.

Thanks  a lot!

There seems to be a cryptocurrency and blockchain project that has made many waves lately. Known as Ontology, this new high-performance public blockchain will be interesting enough to be watched. So far, the project is still in the early stages of development, but there will be some milestones to be achieved in the coming months. ONTOLOGICAL EXPLANATION When it comes to public blockchain, one of the more pressing issues of the moment is scaling. There is no public blockchain that can measure correctly to the corporate grade level in its current form. Ontology aims to address the problem by introducing a new high-performance blockchain that serves as a distributed trust collaboration platform.

gotta love newbies that copy and paste statements full of buzzwords but no real ELI-5 explanation.
much easier to just link people to the ICO page of the new cypto your trying to announce but too afraid to make it look like an announcement and too afraid to speak in plain english about its real benefits and features

dont even bother developing anything that makes "market cap" important/relevent
it a meaningless number

i can make a coin tomorrow of 5trillion coins. trade just one coin for $5 and instantly have a market cap of $5 trillion. this does not mean i suddenly created $5trillion. this does not mean there is $5trill held in bank accounts to back up each coin and if i sold the one coin for $2.50 does not mean that $2.5trillion has been lost/stolen/hacked/burned/destroyed... because the market cap is not a real statistic. it is meaningless

the less the community care, discuss, use market cap the better.

we need better and more meaningful measures of a coins desirability.

not sure if you want to go down this deep hole of revolutionary philosophy
what would be truly great is to stop measuring coins against the dollar completely. instead have a service that measures the current market price of a single coin against cost of living and only display cost of living values. now that would be revolutionary and be something more useful to separate crypto from fiat dominance. and show the world that crypto does not require the fiat world.
some places use the "loaf of bread" cost or compare it to the "big mac" cost. or more simply the minimum wage cost

what i found completely amazed is that many people dont care that a btc(~$9200) in one US state is worth:
736 minimum wage hours of labour (D.C)
1268 minimum wage hours of labour (multiple states)
1786 minimum wage hours of labour (georgia/wyoming)

yep a minimum wage worker has to work 2 and a half times longer just to buy 1btc compared to somone in D.C

and comparing it to other countries. 1btc can be worth alot more than 2000 minimum wage hours of labour

Hi,

I am planning to develop some ontologies related to blockchain and cryptocurrency. The scope of the ontologies is to define the following models:

- Cryptocurrency ontology (coins description)
- Market Exchange (Modeling of Marketplaces such as Poloniex, Binance) with information about APIs, fees, etc
- Market Cap, Ticker,..
- Wallet
- Blockchain ontology (Modeling Blockchain and Transactions)

From these ontologies, I want to build instances of the classes defined in these ontologies by harvesting different APIs such as CryptoMarketCap.

So far I have found only one set of ontologies that addresses Blockchain called Blondie https://github.com/hedugaro/Blondie.

I would like to know what ontologies are available out there that addresses with different
I have created a public GitHub project for this. https://github.com/fellahst/cryptoonto. If anyone is interested to help for this project, let me know.

Regards

Stephane
