Hey guys,

This has turned out to be a more drawn out process than I had initially imagined (but I suppose that's a good thing that's allowing me to run multiple rounds of drafts).

Anyway, I've incorporated a number of ideas here in more versions of the logo. I figured the more eyes/feedback I get, the better, so am updating this thread in hopes of more comments / criticisms.

The additional drafts can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/e07h6

As an example:

The most obvious change is the change in the Kanji, thanks to friends of friends, I've been informed that the old character "can" mean to cure, but without context, those familiar with the character/language would probably associate it with another meaning and/or be confused.

So in short, I think I'm on the right track, but am always good to have additional thoughts and interpretations - so far as additional work on these specific designs, I know I'll need to re-balance/center some of the text... I'm still considering these drafts.

Couldn't put my finger on what was bugging me - then realized the curecoin writing should be facing inward - looks really strange facing outward (it is original, but I've never seen a real coin like that).

Just my opinion - really like the logo Smiley

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback!

I was kind of hesitant to start a new thread, but I'm glad I did. The suggestions are very helpful and I'll start to play around with the ideas (and here I was thinking I might be done Wink )

For what it's worth, I was able to get an idea on the Kanji character as well, thanks to a couple of friend's friends on facebook.

It boils down to this: while the character can mean "to cure" it depends on context. The example I was given was something like, "yeah, if you got that as a tattoo, people might be confused." The good news is that I also learned that is probably a more appropriate character to use on its own.

It looks very nice.
I would maybe put the "curecoin" words in the smaller circle, with "Cure" on one side of the tail/handle and "Coin" on the other.

Great idea, now that I look at it again after reading that, I feel that 'curecoin' is kinda lopsided, in that most coins have text all the way around.

This is a really cool project and I like the design. Instead of the Kanji character, possibly you could do a mash up of a red cross or something as well? And maybe the writing of curecoin in gold?

highlighting the curecoin in a more flashy gold color would make the name stick out nicely... i do like that idea

there is a reason for the kanji char, it ties into a theme of reiki (healing) , helix represents dna and chakras ( both sciences of healing ), there is more to it than that, but it has a lot of meaning to it....

edit - there should be more posted about it on curecoin.us soon

Hey guys,

I've been working with CygnusXI to design a Curecoin logo/coin. After several revisions, I think we're getting pretty warm to a finished product, but would dig any additional thoughts/criticisms/suggestions.

This is the current design:

(higher resolution available here: https://i.imgur.com/cCEEqMy.jpg - note that I've made small changes in the font for all the size revisions in order to keep the image as legible as possible.)

What would be particularly helpful is if someone familiar with Kanji is able to confirm that the 治 character is correct (or at least not wrong) meaning "cure," or the like. This is the first crypto project I've been involved with at all and it's important to me that I get things right. If you haven't seen my thoughts in other posts: I honesty believe that we're only at the tip of the iceberg so far as how far Curecoin will go - it has the potential to be the first crypto to change the future of humanity. In fact, even the current Curecoin folding team has blown through the ranks - possibly *already* providing resources to cure terrible diseases.

I think there's still room to get in on the beta/test pool, too: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/anncurecoin-beta-pool-test-user-limit-lifted-lets-hit-the-mile-stone-1200r-261521.

Anyway, thoughts or feedback would be much appreciated.
