I heard something about this coin called goldcoin. Goldcoin has a great community and a fantastic name.

Goldcoin is as close we can hope to get to another bitcoin.

I have 200,000 GDC. I hope one day tha's $200,000,000.

Goldcoin because... it's fucking gold.

The infantesimal chance Goldcoin goes anywhere gets smaller every day because of the hate generated by lame spammers who think by bringing awareness to the project they will somehow grow their community. You are only hurting your cause.

Avoid answering your question, sorry. Coins that came after bitcoin were an attempt at a 'better' coin, however the dev saw 'better'. I can't see why anyone would have made a 100% clone as there would be no improvement.

And while I was one finger typing all that,

bytecoin

Are there any cryptocurrencies that are 100% identical to Bitcoin, but with a different blockchain and a different name?

Terracoin is very similar to Bitcoin, but it has more total eventual coins, as well as a shorter block time.
