Awami League President Sheikh Hasina fell on July 5 in 2024 after being in power for 17 years.  And it was the worst and hardest movement, tens of thousands of students lost their lives in this movement, and countless tens of thousands of people are currently hospitalized.  Sheikh Hasina spread all these evils and tyranny on the people, she took over the most powerful people in her party due to which she continued to be a dictator for a long time.  He has ruled for a long time with the administration of all the forces, especially the police force, the navy, the air force, the army, and the army.

Dictator Hasina did not run away on July 5, she run away on August 5. She has done many atrocities on the people of Bangladesh by forcibly occupying power for 17 years. She unofficially made Bangladesh a state of India. By taking away the freedom of the people of Bangladesh, many illegal opportunities were provided to India to stay in power

Bangladesh Awami League and dictator Sheikh Hasina illegally occupied the power of Bangladesh for 15 years. In July, when Bangladeshi students protested, dictator Hasina's forces massacred them.

When all classes of people of Bangladesh joined the movement along with the students, dictator Hasina was forced to flee to India on August 5.

After the defection of dictator Hasina, an interim government was formed in Bangladesh. Its chief advisor is eminent economist Nobel Laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. What is your opinion about the current situation in Bangladesh?

Ok having a democratically elected government is always the best scenario for
the general population of a country regardless of whether the politicians are
corrupt or not but having a dictator in power is never good for the population.

I commend the population of Bangladesh for rising up and ousting Hasina, I'm
sure there are a few more of his followers who need to be ousted too.

The sooner the better that the new i terim government xan get things in
order for proper elections to give the country back to its people.

Also I want to comment on religion, it doesnt have a place in politics. They are
separate entities and either one getting involved in the others affairs is never
going to work.

They will figure it out for themselves, the main thing is not to meddle in other people's affairs and everything will be fine. They have their own mores, laws, they know better at least. And personally, I don't care, that's the truth anyway. Grin

I have a lot of hope for Bangladesh. It's a country with a huge population and great potential, yet the suppression by the dictator that's now in exile lead this country to dark days.

Many of its citizens depended on moving abroad seasonally or for their whole lives to support their families back home. In my country we also get thousands of Bangladeshi workers every year.
Hopefully the people of Bangladesh will be given a shot to determine their own future with their new elections.

I am hopeful because seeing how Sri Lanka managed to elect a president willing to do radical reform after all the turmoil the country had gone through, it shows that the people's power can prevail even after decades of suppression. Hopefully Bangladesh too will soon free and open elections and it would allow for the country to start paving a new path forward.

To be honest, I am very glad people from Bangladesh managed to oust that dictator and establish and transition government for them to go back to democracy. I started to follow the situation with the student protests some months ago and the images were unsettling to say the least.
I am going to be following the incoming elections in the country as well, to see whether you can reestablish and healthy system of government and do not allow followers of the former dictatorship to rise to power again.

The important part of all this happening is honoring the death of those students who lost their life protesting for the good of their country and never allow dictators to reach power in Bangladesh ever again.

What is your opinion about the current situation in Bangladesh?
The people of Bangladesh need to set aside tribalism, political affiliation, and religious sentiments. For them to rebuild the country politically and economically, they have to be united. The past needs to be forgotten for the country to heal from the years of misrule. Professor Muhammad Yunus and other members of the interim government have lots of work to do to rebuild the country. And I hope they will get all the support they need both internally and from international organizations.
