You could encounter a FOMO within that 3 year hiatus period but hat's off to you by being brave and getting out all of your investments within the Cryptocurrency but as someone who encountered a same hiatus period, its time wasting to not be within the Cryptocurrency Industry even though you will just invest on one single coin. There will be big changes when you come back and you might take time feeling familiar which is not a great idea since every thing moves fast within this industry but I guess if that is your decision, you can do you but you need to keep in mind the risks that you will be taking.
I don't think if that is good idea but it's not bad if you quit.. why don't you invest your profit to the altcoins and forget it.. leave it to your wallet just come back in 3 years surely you can make a lot money, just don't forget to save private key or seeds in a safe place.

Not only that, the OP has also taken the decision to not comeback until 2024, that is an eternity in this market, maybe he thinks something similar to what we saw during the 2016-2020 period will happen but there is no guarantee we will see a long bear market this time around since there are so many institutional investors that have invested heavily in bitcoin already, if governments keep printing money then it is fair to expect the price of bitcoin to keep increasing slowly during the next years and by the time he comebacks the reality of the market will be incredibly different than what we have now. quitting now and coming back will leave you lack behind a lot, even if bear happens , new projects will come, some projects will fade away. you need to check in sometimes to get updates about how projects are performing so you will be able to know the good projects to accumulate. my plan is different, either bull or bear, i will be here.

your choice is very smart to save the benefits you already have, but in my opinion it is something that you have ever done wrong. I think that 10000USD profit is very suitable for you to invest in Altcoin which has the potential in the future to be better than now. for example like Cardano, aorora, Btt and BNB. Bull market might be gone as you have stated but don't forget that the market is all about trends. First it was ICO, then later it was preceeded by IEO that saw a lot of boom in centralized exchanges and later Decentralized finance that so a limelight through yearn finance and today look at what dex has bring into different projects and cryptocurrency it self.
Decentralized finance has birth more hundreds of great projects and there are many more to come as long as Defi is still hot.

Completely leaving the market and blindly saying a date 3 years from now might not be the best tactic. If you want to go on the sidelines that's fine all good. I would stay close and get ready to jump back in at some point if a new bottom has perceivably been hit. Good thing to jump in little by little again at a later date and cost average your way back in. Either way good luck to you.

Those early adopters that had 10,000 BTC long ago sold it when BTC hit $100, $1,000, $10,000 etc. They bought back in only at inflated prices. Eventually you have companies like Tesla with deep pockets buying BTC at $30,000 and higher.
The people with diamond hands were laughing when BTC hit $58,000. But it is a risk because you just never know what will happen in the future. It would suck to own 10,000 BTC @ $58,000 and then it goes back down to $100 for some unknown reason. At some point you have to take some profits before you die. Can't take all the BTC with you to the grave lol!

Personally, I would prefer to keep all the coins I have so far and wait for even better times for the crypto world. In my opinion, this is just the beginning of the acceptance of crypto and the future will be even brighter.

Fiat money is being printed left and right. I don't think the bull market is over. Unless you need the money for a purchase it will lose value if you keep it in fiat or try to save it in a bank account.

I am not sure if the bull market is gone as bitcoin can increase again and the altcoin season is not over. Many altcoins still try to lift the price slowly following of bitcoin price movement, so I think that we still have more time to see the altcoin season will come to the market. But that is your decision if you want to quit the crypto market and enjoy your profit. I am sure you can come back to the market anytime you want, but I hope you can be ready when you come back because I am sure the situation will not be the same.

Why 2024? What made you so sure that things are going to be ok and profitable in 2024, if you are true Cryptocurrency investors and interested in making a profit you will not take a very long vacation, the market is very dynamic things can change in a matter of weeks, you can lose and you can make a profit within 24 hours to a week, Cryptocurrency is the most exciting investment market that is why it is institutions and big investors are coming in, there is a gold mine and you will miss it by taking a very long vacation.

Guess you are new to crypto, this is not a full blown Bear market but more of a correction which is a normal thing with crypto and all the Bull run we have had in the past weeks so this is expected but if you look again from last night as am typing this post, BTC has been back up some parentage like 3.2% in the past 24HRS and I believe the market is still going to see some more gains towards the 2021 Dec.

You don't know where the top is, but I can't help but to agree. Many that did their research know that price will crash one day, however for the bull run to end, it will need to first go into a parabolic trajectory. If this doesn't happen and the bull run just ended now, then the chart is off, and the reason is the 2019 bull run that shouldn't have been, but it happened because of the Chinese Ponzi schemes that were running wild during that year and made billions in Bitcoin purchases.
I am not going to tell you that you are wrong, and possible all the rest that tell you not to stop now, they are also right. Because price will very possibly rise again, but it won't be too far from the top. Even $100,000 will be just double from the previous ATH, while a year ago the potential was for ten times profit or 1000%. Now it is 1/10th of that. Remember to come back before 2024, sometime in mid 2023.

Some people who believe in the 4 year bullish cycle in crypto was always doing this thing. I personally called this as hibernate for them all. Sure, As long as you make your profit already in the market it is still a good investment since you still made a profit. For sure there are always plenty of opportunities to make your entry.

Well, the next bitcoin halving will be in 2024 and maybe there will be new projects at favorable prices. But personally I think this year will be bullish until the end and growth will continue after the correction.

That is why there are still a lot of opportunities and l don' want to stay away from them. l think staying away from the market till 2024 is not a great idea, because you will lose a lot of things like money, knowledge, information. 2 years is a long time and as you know the technology is changing every day. Bull market is not over yet. If you have taken your profit and converted in fiat or usdt, then its good but i would suggest you to keep an eye on the market. According to the bitcoin analysts, the bull market is not yet over. If you see bitcoin cross the 58K (ATH), then you may think of buying back and don't miss out on more profits.
You need to wait 3 years but you are not sure if that year the price of the bitcoin and the altcoins are dump because maybe the price is very high and if that happen you do not have any coins and you will regret so I think it's better to invest some so what ever happen in the next few years you still have coins to and if the price of the crypto coins are high you earn profit. A wise investors and trader invested some coins if they have undecided but use extra money.

The market is really unpredictable this year but I think there is still a lot to happen in the coming days so I find it too early to quit. I believe that it will be better if you'll wait for the bear market and invest before you leave and just go back when the next bull run happens again. However, we all have a different perspectives in life. As long as you're confident with your decision to leave then there's no problem with it as long as you'll never have regrets in the future.

It's a fine strategy if you are satisfied with your profit. I too gave it a thought a couple of time but maybe greed, FOMO or lack of satisfaction, brings me on investing back and losing on trade. It's a premature decision, bull run is still on, and what's happening now is just a correction and we are just come in a bull run season it's too early to tell if the bull run has stop and the bear trend set in, a lot of great things are still happening in the market and we are still in the early part of the year, and experts and seasoned experts consider the month of February and April as a month of correction, my plan is still going on weak hands like you should stop investing in Cryptocurrency market and just sell goods in the market.

Maybe I'll wait for another bearish days to come, because I failed to do so during year 2018-2019. All holding was lost actually with fiat conversion, expenses and other non valuable stuffs. Maybe now is the time to take precautions on your budgetting, because if you wouldn't think of future passive income and you don't have exact patience over spending money! This bull season isn't in my favour at all and of cos most of my money came from bear market season, this only thing I did this bull season is build mining rigs and make some money which was quit good for me, I don't a quitting season because you can make money in any season either bear or bull

It all depends on you but i think it would be difficult not to dive back into cryptos for the next 3 years. I will be incapable of it
Your idea is not however stupid and i sometimes say it to myself: during the last 365 days, if i had not done anything (cut with crypto) then my capital would have grown much more than it did (since I have sold some assets that have experienced crazy progressions).

You should come back in 2022 and 2023 with piles of money to buy bottom and then sell on next bull market of 2025. Trust me it will very hard to buy at bear market. Same as it was in 2015 and 2019. Extremely hard since everyone is so bearish and all normies look at you like a ponzi scheme guy when you mention crypto.

Tell that to institutional investors that adding Billion Dollar money to there holdings whenever there is a price dip. They will not let the crypto market collapse since they are already heavily invested on it. Most of famous and innovative person in the world are already into crypto. I know someone who has put some money into BTC unknowingly has multiplied his initial investment to x10 after four years. What happened is that he forgot the username and password of the account that he has and kept his assets in BTC. So it was around 2017, and he then recently opened the store, and what do you know, it multiplied by 10. Maybe if he had input a larger amount, he would've been a super winner for that, but he made some money on it.
The key to this, IMO, is that he didn't need the amount he had in store for that. That's why it's okay to set and forget it. It's pretty basic, but if you invest a big amount, you would check it regularly, but you will never know what could happen in the future if you just forget it.

The bitcoin is not yet confirmed to get the bearish trend now and im thinking waiting for that to happen. Investing small amount of money into the legit icos and then i'll try to use my reserved funds from the profit that already taken to buy back it again.
Currently i am quit and just taken my profit and exit. already exit and i am writing. i am hoping to come after 3 years. with 10000USD investment for a potential coin at that time..
