Off your touchpad then use mouse instead. Then, if there's a problem, check the mouse you use and put on another USB.

I also experience that before when I am on game then my cursor automatically up and I notice that the problem was on my mouse

So I have to reinstall the pointing device drivers?
Maybe your touchpad
1. Hypersensitive
2. Trouble with censor
3. Problem with driver
Yes, I think a good solution to reinstall it when having a problem with no.3 and change hardware for no.1 and 2.

Or someone remote your PC? let's find out by trying to turn off your internet.

I am sure that all drivers were upto date as per the HP support assistant stats. So I have to reinstall the pointing device drivers?
I would suggest you to move this to off-topic, that's for starters.
Second thing is, never use third party programs for updating drivers. Unless you fancy additional features like spyware etc.
As a solution; try to disable your built-in pointer device, the touchpad and re-enable it after restart or simply use external mouse, leaving touchpad disabled. First try to look for this options under BIOS, if failed, in windows device manager. This looks like a hardware problem caused by time, dust and grease. Quick research gave ma an impression that HP books tend to have those problems.  Cry

wrong forum to start with.

Try stack exchange https://superuser.com/

or Tom's hardware https://forums.tomshardware.com/ for better results. Be sure provide the specifications of your notebook.
Will look into the other forums as well, trying bitcointalk as well because I thought here I can find instant solution. Smiley

Specs: HP elitebook 840 with windows 7 64 bit version.

If your any pointing device driver is outdated or corrupted, it would cause your mouse cursor keeps moving on its own. It can fix the problem through updating your pointing device driver, like mouse, keyboard and touchpad driver. ... Driver Easy will automatically recognize your system and find the correct drivers for it.

Also, I had a similar issue a few years ago when I used as mouse pad a white cardboard. White color was the reason at that time and the solution was to replace the pad with a colored one.

I guess everyone knows that what is cursor means which is the term used for mouse pointer and text blinking bar on a computer.Today I found that my mouse cursor moving on itself from one point to another,I noticed this happens for the recent days.I thought it could be accidental touch on the mousepad on my notebook but I visually saw that today the mouse cursor moving itself without any touch from myself and this also happens with 'caret' the text blinking bar which misplaces while I am typing something (even now).

I would like to know how to fix this and what could be the reason for this?
