Some individuals foolishly fall prey to scams even when the handwriting is boldly written on the wall with capital letters
It's either due to gullibility
Or greed..

Catfish scam is dubious act of an individual illegally claiming to be another person in other to defraud people.

I am an African by origin but I must admit catfish scams is been perpetrated majorly by Africans on unsuspecting individuals. This write up would be like a plea to those involved to stop it and also a warning to individuals to beware of catfish scam.

The economy of developing countries in Africa could be really frustrating the educational system is nothing to write home about and even though you manage to scale that hurdle you still come to face the persistent unending job hunt.

The high rate of unemployment couple with the get rich or die trying attitude of some youth in Africa give birth to catfish scam it's quite embarrassing that youth don't want to learn or try some legal means of earning rather the are in search of quick and illegal means of acquiring wealth.

Miss Rowland Mary is a mother of one and a citizen of a country in western Europe she has just be divorced recently from her husband of four year now she is in search of love. She goes and register in a social media platform hoping to find true love there she meet sgt James Cohan to her knowledge James is an American soldier who is currently in Syria on a peace keeping mission. Mary started chatting with James and along the line fell in love with James they where together for months and all this while James has been asking Mary to send money to his son who is claimed to be in the US which she had been doing. Then finally James asks Mary to pay some huge amount of money to help him secure a vacation leave so he can come and be with her out of expectation Mary sent the money and has been waiting ever since for James who turned out to be a catfish scam who is originally onoche Gabriel from a town in West Africa.

This days catfish scammer are unleashed looking for who to prey on they are everywhere from business, investment, cryptocurrency, lottery and more. They have tools that helps them evade detection(proxy IP address, fake company website, fake passport and pictures, Google Translator and more)

I would use this medium to reach out to anyone that is engaging in such heartless act to quite it and try to be genuine in there doings you never know when you might meet your day of reckoning ..  And to individual around the globe to be more careful and observant never letting your emotions to obstruct your sense of judgement( don't check depth of a stream with both feet) most times seek professional assistance
