We have launched Euler-5, an incentivized testnet for validators across and builders of the great new web.

The full rules can be found in our blog post.

The key idea behind the Game of Links is to establish a starting value of relevance on the knowledge graph. It is crucial for getting quality search results from the inception of the network. All the disciplines are an integral part of the preparation and testing of the network before its mainnet launch.

Goals:

- To carry out publicly incentivized testing of cyberd and Ethereum contracts before the launch of the mainnet
- To demonstrate the search, with the use of an experimental knowledge graph, filled with useful cyberlinks
- To distribute up to 6% of CYB tokens to the validators who will participate in pre-genesis takeoff donations. The amount is dependent on the number of donated ATOMs
- To distribute up to 4% of CYB tokens to the participants of 7 the disciplines of the game, depending on how many participants win against cyber~Congress

To start validating, follow this guide

Cyber: A decentralized Google for provable and relevant answers ( a relevance machine), built with the help of Cosmos-SDK/Tendermint/CUDA

If you are mining using CUDA or any "green" cards and would like to diversify your mining and take part in computing something interesting - we'll be happy if you join our network.
Currently, we are in between incentivised networks for validators. This means that the next testnet that we will launch (euler-5) is going to be incentivised and validators are going to receive rewards.
There are other incentives planned, but unfortunately, they are not the topic of discussion for the mining thread. I will open an ANN in the altcoin section, with more info on the above.

What is Cyber
An inter-planetary search engine & a state of the art consensus computer, built with the help of go-IPFS and cosmos-SDK. Cyber introduces a protocol for provable communication between consensus computers of relevance. Based on a simple idea of content defined knowledge graphs generated by web3-agents via the use of cyberlinks - a simple, yet a powerful semantic construction for building a predictive model of the universe.

Why should I run a validator on cyber
  • You can use your cards to take part in computing the knowledge graph and be a part of an interesting project
  • You will be receiving rewards for running a validator, just like in Cosmos (ATOM)
  • You will be eligible to build your reputation in the system and can participate in governance during the mainnet
  • You can receive a commission from delegators on the mainnet
  • You can take part in forming the knowledge graph of the new Great Web
  • Become a web3 provider

For a more detailed explanation of cybernomics, feel free to check out this document out
Also, I advise for anyone interested to check out articles on DPOS validating and the returns it might be able to bring. I will not spam them here, but there are plenty of these you can find (including some statistics via google)

Specifications
In theory, if you are already using an instance with similar GPU's you might be able to run a validator node. But, to stay "true" to the cause, we recommend using the following specs:

  • CPU: 4 cores (6 is better)
  • RAM: 16 GB (64 would be better)
  • SSD: 256 GB (512 is preferred)
  • Connection: 100 Mbit fiber
  • GPU: CUDA / GeForce 1070/80
  • Software: Linux, Docker

On our website, you can find a very throughout guide on how to start your validator

What can you do now if you are interested?
Well, you can either start running a validator using the guide above, but I would strongly recommend joining out telegram dev chat

Please don't hesitate to ask more questions, with regards to how to start mining / validating on top of Cyber, I will be happy to answer them.
