The main thing that with e-sports was not the same as with poker when it was banned by the US to play online. With such a pace, eSports will become a separate sport

Yes, cybersport is the future because people donate a lot of money in games like Dota, LoL, CS etc. In 2016, cybersport had $900 million in profits. Advertising contracts reached $662 million, and the number of viewers was 200 million. I'm sure that cybersport will be as popular as football and basketball for an incomparably short period of time. It is already developing rapidly. Over the past few years, the number of spectators has grown at times, and prize funds have already outstripped traditional sports.

Well it was a perfect time a couple of years to invest in all of this, twitch, streamers etc. I dont think its the pinnacle of esports and i do believe they will be the most watched entertainment to come, i mean compared to dota or lol, how fun it is to watch football? Not that fun, not as much action and so on. Plus games have literally no restrictions, they can create anything, any atmosphere, any gameplay, any competition. Thus if people have resources to invest, esports is a great opportunity.

Esports have gotten a lot bigger.. i mean you can even bet on them easily now..

Wont replace actual sports though.. although i do wonder what will happen to them once genetic engineering, and eventually nanotech becomes a lot more advanced and mainstream.

Cybersport is also developing rapidly as a crypto currency, the income of professional players and companies is growing (AUDI, Visa, Samsung, Jack Jones, Adidas), the number of cybersport disciplines is also growing (DOTA2, Counter Strike Global Offensive, PUBG, Overwatch, Qauke Champions, Heartstone), we are waiting for the first e-sport olympic games! There are rumors that we will see the divisions of championships by age of participants. Very interesting.
