CZ will play a very important role in the change of Coinmarketcap, and there will certainly be many ways to make Binance the number one exchange in this market. Currently, the trading volume at CMC is virtual, and that makes it very difficult for investors to know which is a good exchange. Hopefully, in the next few years, CZ will be the manager of CMC because if he can control CMC, the market will surely become better.

That should be that way exchanges and coins should be ranked based on their liquidity and there should be no fake volume, so many exchanges are doing that, still, investors love to see their coin being pump it's an industry practice that I don't think it will go away soon just like that.

If they improve it a lot, could they potentially sell it more? I still can't believe the website was sold for 400 million dollars. I think there is a logical approach to this and they must have calculated something, looking at the website no matter how many people goes to that website it doesn't look like it would ever worth 400 million dollars. You have to understand how much 400 million dollar actually is and I can't even wrap my head around on how much 400 million dollars is.

You can do so much with it and they ended up buying a coin ranking website with it. Hopefully this is a door that opens to bigger things for them but if it is not this is probably one of the worst acquisitions I have ever seen and I think they will regret it in the future if it doesn't work out for them.

They should start removing shitcoins in the CMC and list real only coins that are active with 24 hr trading volume. Glad that CMC has a new well known management, CZ could make a big change in the platform that’s so influential in the crypto space.

Not really but I will be more aware of it now, I shifted to Coingecko, I still trying to sell some of my shitcoins here in my wallets and Coingecko, are still monitoring these shitcoins, it's a good move for Coinmarketcap they know when it comes to this, they they can rule it including all those coins listed in their platform.
Expect more changes that will favor Coinmarketcap and Binance.

I haven't checked on CoinMarketCap for a while now cos at some point I got discouraged seeing numerous shit and scam projects being listed there. If CZ can do a clean up on the project listings on CoinMarketCap, then tht would be a very good development. Its high time scam and unworthy projects are put where they belong.

That's right and just look on the matter of FTX Bull and Bear Tokens Delisting . First CZ annouced that FTX's Bull and Bear tokens are not suitable for users and that are more risky for trading. So, Binance delist all the FTX's bull and Bear Coins. After some weeks, CZ announced their own Bull and Bear Tokens which is really ridiculous thins. Also it's true that no exchange stay long run in this markets. Sooner or later it'll be crashed.

I don't think there is anything to do between the Bullish market and the online chat feature on coinmarketcap, because in general the coinmarketcap site is a site that has long been providing exchange ranking services and coin ranking services that are there as well as daily trading volume on each coin and exchange, so it's not something to do with the Bullish market.

Coinmarketcap is more realistic now, they are slowly correcting those fake volumes, As you can see volume is not the only basis now they have added Web Traffic Factor and Average Liquidity which is more precise basis on which exchanges has real users. By adding Web traffic they can easily identify which exchanges used bots to generates fake volume. CZ is doing great, At first, I thought acquiring CMC does not benefit binance but I was wrong it does not only benefit binance but it benefits all of us crypto enthusiasts by having more realistic data.

All data at Coinmarketcap is wrong, and if compared, the Binance exchange should stand at the number one position. I think CZ is the person who can control this whole market because he has a great influence on the investors here. This is actually one of the setbacks about the liquidity aspect. There may be project owners that will resort to pumps to make their coin look good in terms of trading volume. However, this kind of strategy is not sustainable. So in time, you will see the true nature of the coin because you can't manipulate the trading of your coin all the time. Anyway, it is just a start. If CMC will find another strong criteria to classify their coins, I think they will implement it. At least, we are seeing some developments on this site and they are not just sitting there for nothing.

So far there were some drastic changes after CZ purchasing the CMC website and the chat option is really a great option but to have a dedicated fan following in the chat you need to have some fun games and puzzles to make things interesting for the people in the chat and most of the gambling sites chat platform are active because some are there in for the free coin and if CMC can come up with good ideas then they will have a following in the chat section and there is a complete ranking change and whatever it may it is just a product to promote their exchange.

The thing about binance owning CMC is the problem with fake exchanges making too much noise and getting their community behind them as well. They will blame CMC and CZ for removing them because they were a good competition against Binance and the reality will be that they were removed because they were faking their volume.

So, they will get together as bunch of exchanges and build a coalition against CZ and CMC and they will get thousands probably tens of thousands of their followers all together and do as much harm to CMC and Binance and CZ as they can, which would eventually might hurt as well but I do not think would damage too much. That is when we should know that CMC is not removing just their opponents, they are removing some small places that fake their volumes and "look" like good and that's it.

I've also seen it, it's quite good if the ranking feature has been provided for each coin because we can monitor the biggest transaction volume every day, but I think there are still gaps to be manipulated if CMC wants to do it.

CZ acquires CMC is a good thing, and in a few years, there will be a lot of changes in this market. I think exchanges with fake trading volumes will soon be removed from here and coins with zero trading volume will be delisted from CMC because these coins should not exist in this market. I look forward to the change of CMC because this site is so familiar to everyone here.

For the past 3-4 years, I used to trust Coinmarketcap blindly. But not anymore. Coinmarketcap is a great place to see the prices of some coins, but if you check carefully, the trading volume here is fake trading volume and makes a lot of investors easy to make mistakes when investing.

I think since Binance bought Coinmarketcap it made me want to stay away from this site because Binance is trying to manipulate all of this market. Certainly CMC will support Binance a lot and you need to check carefully before deciding whether to join or not.

I think all would be tight for a listing on coinmarketcap since been taken over by CZ. fake volume will expire fake coin that has a listing on coinmarketcap will be monitored to maximize how well these projects and of course how the original volume generated at the exchange.

For the past 3-4 years, I used to trust Coinmarketcap blindly. But not anymore. Nowadays I am verifying whatever information I get from Coinmarketcap, by comparing them with other sites such as Coingecko. But then, I have to say that I haven't noticed any major manipulation from Coinmarketcap till now. It looks as if the autonomy of Coinmarketcap is being maintained, at least on the outside.

I knew right from when binance acquired coinmarketcap that he will drive in standard to crypto tracking and will send projects and exchanges involved in wash and fake volume manipulation to where they belong. I wouldn't trust CZ all the time for owning that CMC. Of course he has reasons why he bought that CMC. Remember that binance is trying hard to conquer everything even help Justine Sun to takeover steemit. He also says his intention to rollback the chain when binance was hacked.

Did you noticed that CMC is getting slow already? I'm not sure what they are doing already but I'm sure something is going on with CMC under its hood.

Actually, CZ don't change rules but embrace it base on community opinion on twitter chat on April 22 when he asked his followers what they will like to be corrected on capital market and the took place on the 15th of this month.
With that been said, I'm happy for the change because web traffic was used to judge exchange ranking.

Well i am surprised to see many people criticizing this move but to be honest this is a great move and we will get rid of fake bot trading volumes and finally we will be seeing how many buyers are there for a coin so personally i support this cmc feature.

Yes it is part of the improvement that majority of the people want. They had a survey and asked people to tell them the kind of improvement they want and I believe a lot of the people do not want to see exchange with fake volumes ranking high on the website and that is exactly why the latest update has taken care of that. It is most likely we shall see more integration and other feature very soon because CZ always make reference to this on his twitter page

Possible, but for these days, I don't think so, seems binance has always good volume since it was launched til now that it holds the most volume trades which is obvious from what kind of service, user experience, and CS they offered.

We see these things in politics a lot, you have a candidate that tells the right things and talk about the right things, whereas some other buffoon that makes no sense at all gets more votes. It is going to be like that for coinmarketcap, it doesn't have to get dethroned in the ranking world, still would be probably used as the most, but could lose users because of this feature. However it could be liked even more, I wouldn't know, I personally find this much better.

This is ideally the way it should be, and binance incorporation with Coinmarketcap seems to have fast forward the processes.
Hence the need to focus more on liquidity.

The marriage of cz and coinmarketcap is one that comes with worry, and monopolization of the market space, and we can only hope cz does not join the manipulative forces.

agree, they implement new strategy with a goal to make Binance number one, but previous strategy was also not good, since there were some unknown exchange, with questionable quality on top spots, this with Binance on the top is closer to realistic situation, since Binance is one of most well known exchanges
however, do not like monopoly, so looking for other websites that provide these data, and currently i use coinpaprika.com, will see if this is better with them

I have noticed that I think few days ago. Before exchanges were ranked into three different categories but most of the visitors doesn't really understand how that measurement is done. Now, obviously they'll always put Binance to number 1. Not a problem for most users but this is a problem for some other exchanges that competes with BNB. Having one category to rank most of the exchanges is already enough and it's easier for the users to understand.
