when D3 or other x11 ASICs isn't profit again then minimal his fan, the PSU can be used in mining rigs maybe and its casing can be used as a seat or also the monitor can be placed on top of it.
The problem is a lot of people got the D3 because bitmain just throw it away for under 1k$. So just calculate your profit here https://whattomine.com/asic. I hope you have cheap electricity 
there are much faster/effective asics for x11 out now in the game, i dont know if d3 is still profitable and im to lazy to calculate it now
but i´ve read often that people call it useless heater, many people lost alot of money with the d3´s(also with other x11 asics)
its simply to much hashing power on x11 worldwide and not enough big coins to absorb it

if I look at whattomine.com X11 is still there but I don't know if D3 is still profitable or not for X11 algorithm, this question is a lesson for me why I still have to choose GPU for mining.
