Blockchain-free cryptocurrencies are those that use alternative systems in order to function similarly to cryptocurrencies
I don't buy that. I mean people tryed to invent real cryptocurrency since at least 30 years. Noone succed until Bitcoin. There is a reason Bitcoin is worth so much, its true brake-through technology and anything else than that no matter how you call it, its just centralized more or less and issued with central authority more or less thing. Not real crypto.

My first encounter with DAG technology was Byteball ( Gbyte) and later was IOTA.
They have a super fast transactions, one of the reasons i love the technology.

Didn't know about DAG before. Thanks for sharing, the more you read the more you know.

I'll have to research a bit more on the subject, but the next time I hear the word DAG I'll know what you're talking about.

I bought some byteball some time ago but sold at a loss I think. If I'm not wrong it was on Bittrex. Now I know a bit more about the project.

Also.. which coins use DAG?

byteball uses DAG and is one of the project that really has a lot of features and a non-spammy-dev. have a look at their website: https://byteball.org

What is this DAG by the way? Never heard of it.

Wikipedia to the rescue:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directed_acyclic_graph

Blockchain-free cryptocurrencies are those that use alternative systems in order to function similarly to cryptocurrencies that utilize blockchain technology. DAG stands for Directed Acyclic Graph and can serve as a viable alternative to blockchain technology as shown in cryptocurrencies such as DagCoin, ByteBall, and IOTA.
