Useful, thanks. I’m going to set that up myself. Pisses me off getting begging PM’s from newbies.

IPs don't really mean anything, as my regular readers know, I am exploring the advantages of a mobile lifestyle. This means that there are probably around 20 IPs associated with my account, but I only have one account with Bitcoin Talk.
That happens when we use broadband lines, such as those owned by smartphones and also Mobile modem that we own. Because of the system that always gives the ip address in dhcp so it is likely there are other people who get the same ip in different time. While Web logging always records the ip address and think we have multiple accounts. That's the cause of everything, but if we have an Internet network that is cable and satellite is then it can be avoided. So spam things that refer to the ip address will be quite difficult to analyze. There should be other ways that can take action against it, because we all also do not want to be affected bad just because the Internet provider that we use.

Luckily i don't receive spam from many days.

Maybe this forum is increasing in quality after merit system.

We wait just for 2fa.
This is certainly not because of the new Merit system. People who want to Spam nuisance will do it regardless of the Merit system. A reason for it can be that now new accounts usually don't allow PMs from Newbies in default. So maybe Newbies have themselves stopped spamming because of many people opting to not receive PMs from Newbies.

Newbies are now only allowed to send one PM per hour I believe due to this abuse, but I agree something needs to be done and more restrictions need to be put in place because it's ridiculous. Maybe giving the users the option to block PMs from newbies or putting them into some sort of newbie/spam folder would be beneficial. It would be interesting to know whether the bot accounts are using unique IPs or several of the same ones because I think we should look into maybe only allowing one account to sign up per IP. Once you do so then that connection is blacklisted. This should stop people from easily creating hundreds of accounts as there's only so many proxies in the world and will be hard to find 'fresh' ones pretty quickly.
To make a separate spam folder would be better than to restrict all the newbies accounts because user will have a choice to read them or ignore them.
The blacklist for bot accounts is much needed now because hundred of alts are made every day which are just flooding the forum, it will cause many problems in future if this keeps going on without any restrictions.

From about 1 month i am receiving daily pm spam from newbie accounts.

Is there any way to prevent it?

I mean is it possible to don't receive notice of pm of newbie accounts, driving them directly to a spam folder?
