It's so pathetic how some one would sell or even buy a bitcointalk account in as much that is illegal and against the forum it's still does not help the individual because it's just a matter of time he or she would be busted for going against forum rules "you can get a blind man a car but it will not last driving it.

Anyhow, who would tag those account buyers if Lauda is already not a DT anymore?
Other DT members like marlboroza and myself.

Maybe the original owner of that account is not active anymore in this forum and decided to sell his account for that reason.
Just because they don't use their account doesn't mean they should contribute to the deterioration of the forum. The account will most likely be used to spam the forum so that the new owner can earn peanuts.

It is not good whenever a DT loses their status. It means some known scammers come without a warning label.
No, it's not, and this is a good example of what happens when a DT member who had left many negs gets booted off DT.  I'm sure those accounts are being advertised as having neutral feedback, which is true, but they'll still have Lauda's feedback.

The good thing is that these illiterate shitbags who buy older (and no doubt expensive) accounts just to shitpost with will probably end up getting banned for plagiarism.  This guy canej had an account from 2014, but I can only view posts going back to August of this year, which means he probably bought or hacked the account and just started bounty spamming recently.

As I said in another thread, as soon as Lauda was removed from DT I started getting requests to remove feedback I'd left, and when I checked their profiles they were all members who'd also been tagged by Lauda.  I do believe in second chances, but none of the members who'd contacted me had shown any evidence of trustworthiness since I negged them--and I know the danger of some spamming scammer suddenly having neutral trust.

The majority of those accounts will be retagged by other DT members, and these buyers will find they pretty much burn their money.
I'm hoping that's the case.  I know those DT members were working on re-tagging all the accounts, but I don't know how far they got.  If they finished, then the accounts for sale that OP mentioned must not be Lauda-tagged ones.

In any case, I have faith that buyers will screw up somehow and get banned.  Meta is starting to fill up again with ban appeal threads by obnoxious, lying idiots who can barely spit out the question of why did they get banned.  No doubt at least some of those are from jagoffs who bought the account that was banned.

Anyhow, who would tag those account buyers if Lauda is already not a DT anymore? For me, it is not a bad idea to buy accounts which was abandoned long before the merit system is implemented. Maybe the original owner of that account is not active anymore in this forum and decided to sell his account for that reason.

I wrote my message to prevent scam. And I want to protect the forum from an additional stream of complaints and appeals.
I hope I did it a little bit.

However, I would like to see the faces of those dishonest people who bought the account, and after a while it was retagged to red. Grin

Just let them (i.e., lazy bounty shitposter) buy the soon to be a red-trusted account. The majority of those accounts will be retagged by other DT members, and these buyers will find they pretty much burn their money.

I'm just worried about the noobs who will probably get scammed by these "prison break" accounts. We need to give a better welcome message that contains "don't trust anyone" phrase.

Good Day Guys ! I think buying red trust account or a clean account is not right ! I fully disagree with that but we cannot change the fact that there are people who wants to rank up easily and gain profits faster & I really don't support that ! It is best that you and you are the only one that owns that account and also you are the one that makes an effort for it to rank you ! If your the one who do the effort and make it rank up high it will give you the best feeling of accomplishment and also you are making your own name ! Having people compliment you about your post/topics & replies gives you a feeling like you are in Cloud9 and if it is your real account and people praise you it will reflect also to your self.. The bad thing is if you buy an account if that account has a bad record or a bad name it will also reflect on you and that will not be removed (especially the red trust acc) you will inherit the bad record that the old user didn't do!

These are my reasons why I hate account buying:
1. It makes people who buy account more and more lazy because they will just buy new account if they get banned again & again
2. People buying account will not make any effort in posting useful and meaningful replies in this forum because of the reason mentioned in #1.
3. Those merits that has been sent to the account that has been sold will be useless because those users make a fake discussions just to farm acc for merits and sell them high (merits are important and not to be wasted those are trophies to those people who make such a heavy effort to gain them and it makes them determined to post more meaningful topics & discussions)
4. This forum is not a shit forum that people will just use acc to buy & sell ! Everyone must treat this forum with respect and post only with meaningful discussion and no fake replies ! There are so many descent users that really make this forum clean but still many people don't see the importance of this forum !

That is only my opinion and I don't hit no one ! Smiley If you have an addition to my reasons or reactions just qoute my reply ! Thank you and more power !

I do not like people buying accounts on this forum, but I want to warn them about the danger.

Recently, many telegrams channels have intensified users offering to buy accounts on the Bitcoin Forum. Spam about the sale of accounts has become so much that I was interested in what is the reason.

In the beginning, I thought that perhaps this was due to a decrease in revenues from bounty campaigns. I visited the flea market section and looked at the ads and saw that practically in each of them it is written "urgently" and the price is decreasing every day.

Then I came across this topic, where it says that the well-known Lauda ceased to be a member of the DT2 group and, accordingly, everyone to whom she had ever painted a trust ceased to be red.

Therefore, most likely the majority of accounts for sale were just like that.

It is not good whenever a DT loses their status. It means some known scammers come without a warning label.

No responsible and useful member on the forum encourages account buying/selling,this is not some grocery store or a shopping mall, if you want an account with a higher rank, its more honorable ranking up yourself and if you can't then you do not deserve a place in this very forum

For now we can't really ban accounts that are bought,a red tag is probably the best option to warn and ward others of the users unscrupulous activities..

Mmm okay. Buying/selling accounts isn't (yet) illegal. Red trust feedback isn't a good thing but it does not mean obligatory that the account is evolved in shady actions.
Better to keep a distance from this grey zone, that's ok, meanwhile I don't know if this needs to open a topic for it...
