Terminal is the only thing I haven't figured out yet. I used to use Shelly which was great for managing SSH connections, but it doesn't seem to have an Android app. No there will be no Bitcoin Core nodes running on this thing 
Shelly might not have android counterpart but there are plenty other ssh clients available on android. I haved used these two to run VPS and they have worked fine — Termius | JuiceSSH.
..and in terms of usability? Which OS do you find more convenient? Iphones are known for privacy (at least better compared to android), do you find this a good compromise?
I don't really see it that way, but it's slightly easier to place an adblocker and private DNS on Android than iOS. Oh and then there's Data Saver too. Nifty little feature.

You may try Samsung Internet browser, here you can change the brightness of dark mode as well (all browsers may have dark mode, but not all have this option), which makes huge difference as I see it.

For editor text it could be due to browser's font settings while red underlines could be due to keyboard's spellcheck.

Hey guys. It's 9:39 PM here, and the bright white background when I open Bitcointalk on my new phone is burning my eyeballs out. So do you all know of any userscripts I can add to chrome to make this site run on dark mode like the rest of my phone?
Also, it looks like it's intelligent enough to not wipe out my entire post when I navigate away.

Well light theme can be a hell lot of problem especially if you are someone that spends a lot of time on screen. Anyways I've tried the force dark mode on chrome before but the truth is it's not very nice still my best approach is to make use of photo chromic or blue light filter glasses. Sometimes when I'm faced with extensive screen time I do turn on blue light filter on my device too. It dulls down the amount of blue light that hits the eyes while you stare.Also, it looks like it's intelligent enough to not wipe out my entire post when I navigate away.

Well that flash seems to be just a few milliseconds and that I think is as a result of the BPIP extension lagging behind in taking effects immediately the page loads up. Depending on how much processing power and speed your device has you can reduce its effect. Still there are few other browsers that have a better night theme.

I tried everything I could to get rid of that flash!
We're going back a long time ago but I recall it having to do with the DOM tree and when it was being loaded within the extension, I believe caching helped with this as you clicked through, but refreshes would cause it and sometimes it would happen without a refresh, as the CSS was loaded/injected. The CSS code itself should work under other extensions like Stylus, if you wanted to try something like that but I could never get the flash fully eliminated from the BPIP extension itself. If you want the direct code, I had posted it here as well.

It works, but it looks funny at first glance. It's not the typical dark mode we are used to. It looks like undeveloped negative images. The texts are fine but the images are kinda funky and weird. So instead of comforting my eyes, it's irritating. I guess I'll just revert back to the white theme and use the night light/reading mode that is built on my phone.

On an android mobile or an iOS, you are getting exposed to Google tracking. I hope you know the consequences of using an OS which has Google bloatware already installed. Do remember Google does co-operates with the federal agencies of the US.
Looking at those replies of you it seems you have Google tracking you. Check r/degoogle they have an android OS or iOS that removes al Google applications.
Coming back to the original topic, just reduce the brightness of your display and you will be fine with the white background. I somehow feel you created this topic to as a survey to find out probably browsers which satisfies your next project

Opera browser is a closed source and it comes with a bunch of bloatware installed.Brave browser is a bit better and it is coming with ad-blocker but you need to manually disable some extra stuff.
Few other options you have are DuckDuckGo browser or Firefox.

Yes you can disable it anytime.Just bookmark the link I posted and change to default Disabled settings.
You can also play with different inversion settings and see what works best for you.

Alternative to what people has contributed here you can turn on your android screen to dark-mode, then enable "Eye care On at Sunset", and also turn on light adaptive. Whenever i am on mobile this feature helps me a lot to control my view on the forum. This was my experience when I started navigating the forum though my android instead of using pc, and pc is more relaxed while using it than phone and there are some text i may finds difficulties reading them because it's too tiny for view. The best place to explore the forum more better is through Tablet, Personal computer or desktop.

Use Firefox then. I am using Firefox too. you can install ublock origin in firefox mobile version and it works like a charm.. never used Opera. so not sure about that. I think I might end up just using Firefox or Opera or another browser instead.

The solution I think could prove the best with it having to stress on this and that set up. Other than this, I don’t find it much of an issue down here, the auto brightness setup does the trick and additionally, I turn on eye protection to protect my vision from those blue rays during screen time.

This will probably do the trick, one don't need any complex method to put it in dark mode, you can just reduced the brightness of the screen.
Most time when I get tired of the white background on bitcointalk I will just put my device in dark mode using the dark mode icon and it will automatically turn Dark background .
I've never used a dark mode on anything. Just less brightness is all I need.
There are some people that prefer to lessen their phone brightness than to use dark mode. Also some people will put it on 'eye care' at night which can filter out the blue ray light which is what that is affecting the eyes but it can make someone to sleep faster. I have tried all but dark mode is better in the night than to just reduce the light.There was another browser which were two on Android that has good dark mode. If you search for Aloa on playstore, you will see the two of them. They both have good dark mode.

Underlines are probably as a result of spelling errs, so you might wanna check the spelling or it's probably as a result of differences in US and UK English versions.

I would avoid Chrome browser on Android. It's the only one I know I couldn't add uBlock origin to (and I clearly wanted to).
I'm using Vivaldi browser. It's based on Chromium and it has a setting under the Themes - which is also dark for me too - to turn all (!!!) web pages dark.
And Vivaldi has in-built blocker for ads, popups and trackers.

You may have read in such a hassle because you have bought a new phone and try to describe your problem below. If you want to run the Bitcointalk’s site in Dark mode on Chrome, you can use the user script. You can use extension called Stylus or Dark Reader. They will help change the layout of the site and the site will look like the dark mode of your phone. First go to chrome and then settings at setting tap on theme and select dark. Once this step is completed then you should visit and then search "dark", you'll find Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents, change it from default to enabled and then restart the chrome. This will change your chrome's theme and web content to dark mode. It works for me and hope it may work for you as well.

There are some userscripts I tried for dark theme before but I didn't find anything that worked without issues on all pages so I couldn't use them.You can search dark mode userscripts on greasyfork.org website and see if you find something that works for you.
If you want to have best results than DarkReader extension is the best choice, but than you would have to use different browser, not chr0me.

I don't think you can use a userscript on Android Chrome; it doesn't support plugins compared to the PC version.
You can maybe try installing Firefox in your new phone because it's support plugins and then install any userscript plugin and check all dark theme userscript from this thread: "Bitcointalk.org Userscripts/ Add-ons / SMF patches"
