dash hit another ath  now

the biggest reason is this guys, dash a governance system and team that is cohesive, in long run this is extremely important

we have this animosity with the btc / bch guys and the mud slinging

Problems with dash are resolved like adults not like savages , because of this dash can offer far more piece of mind for potential investors especially institutional investors

Another big thing is , dash has a hybrid model where both miners and investors get paid unlike bitcoin where everything just goes to miners , so miners have this full power which they play to their complete advantage

just think about investors perspective , you put money in dash and you get paid  7-8% interest on top on appreciation of dash , thats just awesome

Yes the most important changes are:

DIP0001 implementation (which is a 2MB block upgrade);[/li]
Transaction fee reduction 10x (activates via DIP0001 activation);
InstantSend vulnerability fix (activates via DIP0001 lock in);
PrivateSend improvement which should allow user to have mixed funds available much faster;
Various RPC changes;
Lots of backports from Bitcoin Core and refactoring of our own legacy code which should improve performance and make code more reliable and easier to review;
Experimental HD wallet with BIP39/BIP44 support.[/li]
The rise of all subcoins started the year after the increase of DASH. Is this a sign?

Wow! Dash price pumped to almost $600 and now down to $425.  It seems the same group
of whales who pumped BCH may have pumped Dash. Isn't Roger Ver a big investor
in both BCH and Dash?

You never know with crypto, but dash price increase seems healthy by now, too early to judge anyway.

i have to admit this Dash pump is slowly starting to impress me Roll Eyes
same here. I was checking coinmarketcap and all I saw were red numbers, except for Dash, with more than 50% increase in the last 24h. But I wonder if this just a momentary pump from Okex, and a possible correction will put it back to the $300 range.

I gotta admit, Dash always had my curiosity, but now it caught my attention.

Im also interested in opinions about that. Can dash actually be a serious bitcoin competitor?

Whenever you have a cryptocurrency that has :

* lower fees
* faster transactions
* optional instant transactions for point of sale
* optional privacy on its transactions
* 8x Bitcoin transaction capacity
* decentralized governance and budget system
* ATM's that also offer Dash

Then yes, you have a very serious Bitcoin competitor that no one should underestimate.

Also lets not forget this is a Bitcoin competitor that over time is constantly moving up ranks on coinmarketcap.
Currently Dash ranks fifth.

Then digibyte is also a good candidate right? Almost no fee, faster than any coin so far I can see. Governance and privacy are a issue I think.

I dont know why it is rising that much, what is behind dash right now? I have read a lot of speculations about it, but none of them seems to be really happening.
There has been a rumour about that Dash is being pumped by the Canada Government, but i dont think that it is real, you all know that all the cryptos are now being in a critical moment because of bitcoin/bitcoincash.
I dont know, monero has been rising a lot of too, from $100 to $120 in just two days, it is incredible too.

Here is another piece of speculation for the Dash price rise :

OKEx is expanding its markets with both Dash and Zcash

Decred has all of this features apart of the ATM. And it is much stronger in decentralised governance. When is it going to pump?

DASH has very strong community while Decred doesn't have such community. The most strong rise of Decred was because of the pumpers from the "Dirk team". This guy promoted Decred really hard, he overpriced it a lot and then left it. I don't think we will see Decred pump like Dash. Pivx maybe because it is strong competitor as well.

I don't know what's the exact reason behind those pump, but some rumours said it has something to do with the hashrate. Both of Bitcoincash and Dash's hashrate has been increased recently and they also said that some X11 coins will follow this trend. That's all i heard.

I expect a ride with DASH, as we had with BCH lately. Keep in mind that DASH has only 18,9 mil of total supply, making it much more valuable.

Instead of going with the bch we can invest Dash and wait for the profit whether its grow more or not because failure percentage will be lesser than bch since its value bumps more than 1000 dollars today. In the meanwhile bitcoin price falls down badly. I am really worry about it today.
Dash coin supply will increase because of the bump we do not do anything for it.

After Bitcoin Cash Pump and dump, it appears Dash has taken off big to the upside.
Anyone knows what is the reason for its pump?
