Ah, kids, what happened to TO DA MOON and volume? Maybe people dont care about Bitcoin and its inflated by speculators? Hmmm......much volume the past 5 days, such adoption, very future.
Volume on btc-e and bitstamp sucks but it's still nice on huobi and it's about to break 600$  Cool

Sure, sure, keep dreaming.
Well it looked like that i don't know why we can't get pass 600 and it will be kind of harder after SR coins auction maybe.

RandomPedestrianN9's top desire is to watch people be wrong and lose money.  To that end, he's desperately looking for negative information about bitcoin that may cause above scenario.  It doesn't appear that he stands to gain personally or financially if something negative does occur.  He's just another asshole troll worthy of adding to the ignore list.

At this price we go up an average of about $4 a day to maintain the 10x per year trend.

first stages for bitcoins were the easies ones, but now u have market cam of insane numbers.
basicaly i doubt we will see 10x increase this year, next year probably, but this one, no.
if bitcoin dips 50% in value, allowing high rollers to buy big sell walls, we just may whitnes history, but like i said, i doubt it.

Short?

But that would be boring, bitcoin never does that.
We'll go up 100 per day in a couple of months.
Then down some.

As I said... average...

That's about $4 at today's price.  For 10x per year you need to gain about 0.633% per day on average.

You guys will have a hard time passing the Turrings test. All you do is repeating "TO DA MOON".  Its highly possible that you are PR bots of Bitstamp and im the only real sane person around here. Keep holding and hoping, hope dies last.

Everyone thinks they're the only sane person around.
Which probably means we're all slightly insane.

Well I believe that everyone here probably tried telling their relatives or friends about bitcoin (to which those people cannot comprehend something like this so they assume we have a few screws loose).

Yep, everyone tried and got tired.
And deemed insane by their loved ones. Thus ending up here.

Astonishing volume.

I remember watching hundreds of thousands of coins being traded every minute, your bots are so not obvious even with this micro volume...i cant see al the average Joes who are buying in over all this market manipulation.

Really don't understand people like this. Why do you spend so much time here? Or are you just pissed off you didn't buy any coins at $5?
Few people are trading whole day, when tehre is a drop they buy and once we go back up they sell.

The huge volume usually is triggered by bots when there are crossing emas or panic buys/sells if the value starts to jump/drop.

Or by whales triggering the bots.

Then I welcome your uncle to this small microcosmic fractal offshoot of the global casino economy. If our most lucrative industry is the finance industry, which doesn't actually produce anything much of tangible value, then someone, or rather a whole bunch of suckers/peons have gotta pay for the vast profits some way or another?

Poverty?

Environmental Destruction?

War?

All the noob traders are waiting for a big whale volume spike so they feel comfortable buying in.
This staircase pattern with low volume periods is common with bitcoin.

and I am 80/20 sure that they will get it early next week, if not before. I say this, because I believe Bitcoin will be manipulated to break out from here. Have witnessed some very deliberate price management in Bitcoin in the past few days and it tells me that some whale wants to make Bitcoin fly.

Having said that, it is causing me a bit of concern that we are drifting slightly beyond the down trendline on low volume at the moment. With Bitcoin, the direction that it shows first is often the opposite direction from which it is headed.

I think the lower volume is from many reasons. Like Matt said, consolidation.  Also, the lack of trust in exchanges since mt gox, and the rise of ATMs, Coinbase, and other easy ways to get BTC besides the traditional exchanges.

As loathe as I am to feed a troll, I can't resist pointing out the following...

The dynamic with bitcoin is that relatively low-volume periods add confidence to the concept as a whole... People understand what an incredible concept bitcoin is, how it can, in theory, replace much of PMs as an asset class, plus transactional utility, etc... What scares people away is the volatility and newness of the technology. There's clearly tech risk with bitcoin, but no such risk with gold.

But every day that bitcoin simply continues to exist and process transactions builds confidence. Every low volume day without much price change either way adds to the confidence that bitcoin is 1) not in one of its crazy parabolic phases, and 2) not in a decline. Combine those factors, and you get a nice recipe for people who understand the overall concept to get over any hesitations.
