I had something weird happening just now. I was trying to make a post but it kept showing 502 error at first, I kept retrying and after several attempts, it went through but then I saw a duplicate post appear just after the original post and when I tried deleting the next one it wouldn't delete, I edited the post and then tried deleting it but again it didn't delete.

I tried to  remove original one which was at 2:30, duplicate was at 2.42 but after I tried deleting the original it went down and the 2.42 one came before that. Which is something I haven't ever seen happening before.

After several attempts I was able to remove the duplicate one but something is defo wrong.
Happened to me worse than that, i was writing a new topic during the incident, got 3 duplicated posts! Which I didn't find a way to delete it, and the original one didn't appear lol.
Was afraid that they will think i am spamming the forum when I found it, first reflex looking to my message nothing new, then when I read this euuh finally i am not alone.

It was probably Theymos who was fixing a bug involving invalid UTF characters such required that the database tables be locked which probably caused all of the weird bugs today

- I revised all of the database's collation rules to settings which should work as intended. This required locking tables for extended periods of time, which is what caused the other weirdness over the last few hours.
Thanks for the explication, hope that this will not happens again

I expect since this is a big place to talk about the new BitcoinXT patch, and the entire Quickseller drama, the forum has been getting a lot more traffic and activity as of late. This is probably causing the forum to be unintentionally DoSd as the server cannot take the amount of information flowing through it.

I suggest that BitcoinTalk is moved onto a better server, since these problems appear to be happening consistently.

For me personally the forum has been frequently slow for a few weeks, I actually think it even started around the "XT drama" at reddit. But I am not sure if it is my own connection (having ISP problems too so could be.) Anyone else noticed this?

Had 3 times that I can remember only today.

1 when I logged in, 2 when I was browsing the forum.

But the 502 and 503 errors are very rare at least

The DB is having trouble cashing all the Drama that is going on today. Hopefully it will subside soon

Unfortunately, as long as you keep pathetically defending your unacceptable actions, the drama will continue. Believe me -- I'd like to see your account dead and buried. But alas......

From 2-3 days i have too many problems accessing to the site, refreshing, posting, and today i had this database error twice.
Tho it happens only to me due to the crap connection that I have but apparently i am not alone.

I have been surfing the forum in the last couple hours and I haven't met that error even once. Maybe it's just something on your side...?

Is the script you're talking about the PM checker? I have that installed as well.

I had the same problem few days ago, just wait few seconds and refresh it again, or make the bot to access every 1 min.

I have no problem accessing it just few seconds afterwards, but it is still an issue that needs to be looked into, judging by recent attacks on the forum and what not.
btw i moved update interval to a more reasonable timeout, even tho i no longer believe the two are linked in any way.

Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

I'm getting this alot today, anyone else with the same problem ?
I have a script that accesses forum every 30 seconds, could this be the thing causing the issue? (It just refreshes some info, nothing more)

cheers
