I like day school because children first get basic and important education from a family which stays in their life forever unless both husband and wife of the family are working or business people. Because of parents, a child gets the education of politeness, humility, and culture which can't get anywhere else.

If both spouses work or are away on business, choosing a boarding school may be a good idea.

Because basically, all schools must try to educate their students and prepare them to succeed after they graduate. Each school also uses various ways and approaches to help students to achieve their goals. No exception to the boarding school. Because most people know that the dormitory school has a tighter regulation because it lay down and supervises their students for 24 hours, but the reality is not like that.
But parents also want their children to get good education for the future of the child.

I understand why you're into the idea of a military boarding school for your son, that discipline factor is no joke. Just make sure to chat with him about it and see what he thinks. It's all about finding that sweet spot between your guidance and letting him figure out what works for him in the long run

personally love boarding school only when it is a Military boarding school. I love it for my son even though he has his own choice but for the period I get to make decisions for him he will attend a military boarding school.

I have lots of people around me that inspired me to make such decisions… it’s not necessary my son has to join the force later in his future, but I personally love the kind of discipline they instill.

Or could I be wrong?

Be it day school or boarding school it's dependent on the quality of teaching being given to the child because actually the child isn't going to school because of the building but rather to get educated and if I was to choose I think the day school is better because it exposes one's child to things happening in the environment unlike boarding school that the children's movement are restricted though it tends to give the child more discipline but it makes a child become so dull as they feel like they're caged in one place for a long time without getting access to family or other people as they are stucked among themselves

I never went to boarding school. Rather its good to be with family, have fun, enjoy every minutes of our life vause nobody knows what's going to happened tomorrow. But i won't say boarding school is bad. If you think your children need to have some discipline from his childhood so that they could do well in future and if they love to go there then it's okay to go. Besides the plus point is, you can save transportation cost also lol. But you need to have appointment if you want to visit your children and in my country, boarding schools are less popular

Boarding at a school is a mandate to attend certain schools. If you want to raise an adult which does what they are told by authorities, that sort of education starts in a boarding program.

Never bring your children in boarding school if you don't want them to experience so much pain in life .

Have them till they graduated  because when they married you will miss them so much.

Everything have two side ways boarding school in time past when dignity and integrity where entrusted in human boarding school would have serve better option but today I want assure you weather military boarding school you don't need to entrust your child to any human, day school today stand the best, allot has happened in our society where parent regret at the end of the children life who they sent to boarding school because of many bad thing they have learned due to lack of proper guidance, some smoke weed, hard drugs, Homo sexual, lessbia and so many bad character, have be found to manated from boarding school. No teacher  can show parental love to any child compare to it's parents. Any child in day school it's parents can easily detect any strange character and tackle it immediately but very hard in board because the child will learn how to keep secrets even if the come on holiday  it will not show up because pretend will be the other of the day for the short time period but in day school is not hidden you will catch any thing that is not condone because it can't pretend all day. Just it stand to be choice for me I would prefer day school rather than boarding no matter the name of the boarding.

I think boarding school is more for the troubled children. It is for the ones that do not want to follow the directions of teachers and then they must live at their school.

So you send them off to a boarding school to live. If the child can not follow the directions they have to live there and get his meals and boarding. I would not want to send my children there if I had some.

good parents move to a region/neighbourhood thats in the catchment area of prioritising school admissions.
bad parents dont want to move as it upsets parents lifestyle. but willing to send the kids away and not see them for months-decades

for bad parents its probably cheaper to put the kids up for adoption.. same end result.. when they turn 18 they can then be legally allowed to visit their birth parents

Every problem has different sides, and here the subject is school, I believe you will understand the complexity and that nothing is absolutely perfect. IMO, no matter what environment it is in, it will serve as a context for your children to follow the mold they have shaped. If possible, let your children be closer to their parents, don't leave the responsibility of learning for teachers and schools, except in some forced situations that force us to push children to places that lack closeness family ties otherwise choose a school where you feel you will also be able to influence your children. I understand the OP's desire, when he wants to bring his children into close contact with a disciplined environment, but you have to ask your children's wishes to do so. Find out more about their wishes, because the good things we think of for them are not always the things they want to receive from us.

Boarding school is good in terms of fully focused on studies more than that of nearby, but in this situation since all have what it takes for learning I think all are same, and thinking of what you might experience in boarding nor nearby, they all have their advantage and disadvantage.
Your child maybe that one who goes to nearby after coming back from school he might be stressed, immediately he/she finish eating they will be up for lesson another class again.
You know at times we need to understand some little things about our health some condition which affect some of us is not just like that, it is from you, because even our brain needs rest, not keeping yourself busy all day with books will get you what you want to learn, a scientist once said lectures are to be taken a few hours not spending all day on it, if you don't understand today you will surely understand tomorrow. It roles with a gradual process.

Let the kid to enjoy his childhood says, he is too young to be isolated from family and friends and when he reaches the state where he can make his own decisions then let him pick what he wants, not the one you want.

Boarding school can teach the kids discipline but its harder to survive alone in a very young age and I had the experience myself which is mixed of both good and bad things but if I were to choose again I would prefer the nearby school.

Not that I will let my children Go boarding school because I felt like they will going to the wild
and surrounded by wolves and the school can do nothing about them not until they become wolves too so
no and never to school boarding, I would  rather lose some hours bringing them back en fort from house
and school than to let them change their attitude and behavior just because I wanted to be more
comfortable in life.

I didn't went to boarding during my school days and I always travel time to time since school is just close and can easily commute from here and there.

If you think that it's going to teach your child discipline and on how to be independent, you may try to inquire him to a boarding school. It's gonna teach him a lot of things in life but at the same time, as a parent, will you allow and feel good that you're going to let your kid far from you?

That's somehow the challenge as a parent.

Maybe it’s just from my own culture but most families in my country do not like to send their kids to boarding schools out of worrisome for their children i know in other countries once the kid reaches 18 or gets into college he can leave but in my country even after graduating school you are expected to stay at your parents’ house

So i think i would rather have my kid go home after each day

boarding school is like a orphanage for unwanted kids
if you would rather pay someone else to house and raise your kids, thats your choice. but those kids will grow up to not understand what having a parent actually feels like and can mess them up later bringing resentment in later life.

the only time boarding school is advantageous is if the school is in a first world modern country but the family is in developing country. whereby the child truly gains the best education and is looked after while FAR from home

when people use boarding schools in the same district, town.county, state as the family.. then it bring the kid up feeling rejected and thrown away, rather than feeling the parents are thinking about the kids future prospects

I am practical person so i choose Boarding school , the transportation expenses is too high added  the time travel as in this city is so traffic , instead of going Home then They can use time to rest and study more.
so Yeah I bring them to boarding houses after elementary  schooling.

I want my children learn self providing , but as long as they are studying will remain under my roof and will be willing to let them stay in boarding house at least in college or when they have own Jobs.
I am a super protective parent and I will do anything to see them everyday safe and better. so My plan is for them to stay in my house as long as they wanted(and I am sure they also wanted that as we are asking them everytime about they wanted in life)

Boarding school is good but the problem it has is that it usually corrup children because they stay on there own and do as it pleases them because no body to question them. But in day school, it is difficult for children to misbehave. because you as a guardian will make sure you treat your child the way he/she will be good to your satisfaction.

But if boarding school is an option I believe it will be good if it's a military boarding school just as you sudjested.
