Am I just unlucky with my USB sticks, or does the Zig eat them? I needed to replace the USB stick every 1-2 months because the hashrate gets really bad and I found out a fresh USB stick helps. Reimaging the old one does not help.... Any ideas?

Had been having issues with hashrates and high rates of rejected shares on a number of pools.  Reduced the freq to 800mhs, added #xnsub to the pool address -- has reduced the error rate significantly.

xnsub stands for extra-nonce subscription. For algorithms with very high difficulties and for miners with very high hashrates, it's possible for a miner to completely exhaust the nonce-space (that is, the value that is changed for each hash to try and find the valid hash).

Extranonce was created to allow the miners to change a small field in the coinbase to continue hashing again from the beginning, but with a slightly different block.

By subscribing you're telling NH (or any pool that supports it) that even though you've already submitted a certain nonce, it's actually a different block because of this extranonce field.

You can get firmware here:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1z564S10Q3SWN8-8_HmreuUCQEI_gXYl9

Worked for me. Also post in the Zig thread here with your experience:

So I've had the same problem. Updated the firmware and now the unit is bricked. Red light flashed. I formatted a USB stick but I'm not sure how to install it? Just turn it on and hope for the best? I tried that and notice no difference.

Can anyone help? Do you hit reset button? Is there a factory reset setting?

Inside the download you will find imageUSB.exe and z1_static_100_09_14.7z files.

Extract the .7z file and you get an .img file.

Use the imageUSB.exe to burn the .img file to a USB stick.

That's all.

Yes I did all that. Then restarted it with the USB stick inside. The red light has gone but I've performed multiple IP scans and can't see the miner.
I tried rebooting it, rebooting my router, and nothing has made it appear in the IP list.

The Z1 is on different network, you need to be on 192.168.1.x network or change your subnet to 255.255.0.0

what power supply are you running? if one board is dead and the others are low power you're probably not giving it enough.  Are you on 110v or 220?

Have one as well -- got it last night. Hashed for 15 minutes then died.  Tried every trick in the book to bring it back up but nothing.

I ended up reimaging the USB with the updated software -- brought it back to life.  Got rid of the flashing red light on the front of the unit -- guess the operating system (firmware) was corrupted.

Reduced the starting frequency to 800 mhs -- helped with stability.

Also, oddity I found was all three local miner destinations needed to be loaded otherwise unit would not boot.

I still get a "may not boot" message when rebooting and boot process takes a good 10 minutes before it starts hashing.

Hashing on blockmaster Lyra2rev2 pool at averaging at around 5.6 to 6.3 at the pool.

The best help I can give you is letting you know that you posted in the BITCOIN section, when you are talking about an altcoin miner. Try posting there, I guarantee you will get more help than posting here in the incorrect place.

Thanks for the hint. It seems theybreally didnt setup any channel for support. WTF

Hi guys,

I just recieved my Dayun ZIG Z1 6.8GH and having issues with one of the hashboards. Its just dead, shows red and 0 Hashrate in the Panel. Huh Huh Huh Cry

Also two boards show only half the power of the hashrate needed to reach the hashrate.

- Anyone knows the support channel for Dayun?
- Is there a way to download the firmware again and mount it on the stick? I don't find the firmware anywhere...nor a website of Dayun around the web...

Help appreciated!
