Does anyone here actually own a Dayun Zig Z1? There are no legitimate distributors selling these things.

ZigMiner D1 appears to be same chips as the PinIdea DR-100, efficiency is the same. Again, just old private stock being sold now that it is useless.

Selling off old private farm inventory, that's the point.

m1 is working on five algorithms , mining at the same time

zigminer does not have any contacts with dayun and pinidea

just zigminer

m1 can only mine 1 algorithm at a time

Have you tested it?

I have asked AK miner and they have confirmed it is one at a time

I see. The picture is pretty mis-leading then. And what is the even the point of this miner.

Yea, we're trying to track down manufacturer and find reliable vendors to source from. Needles in hay stacks.

These are one algo machines (at a time) for sure. This isn't even worth talking about because they are way too overpriced to consider. If you don't get scammed buying one in the first place.

As soon as this "DaYun" company surfaced 4/5 of the sites suddenly selling their miners look to be scams. Pop up website complete with 3 post noobs on here shilling them. No good.

I do not know why you would try to deny it - the miners are physically identical, the firmware still states 'PinIdea' in multiple places, and I am willing to bet the hashboards are physically identical. At the very least, you have acquired all the assets of PinIdea.

There is no doubt that DaYun is PinIdea now, they listed the Miner R1 for Cryptonight (classic) at same performance as the RR-210.

If the initial price tag is not to high I think I would buy it and mine any of the last three algorithms which consume really low power , it is as having a miner with free electricity in the case of mining Lbry but even Lyra2rev2 with 25w is really nice based on the hashrate.

I have not seen it listed as 'Penta Miner', but it still makes sense if it supports 5 algorithms. Doesn't mean it's simultaneous. I don't know if it is simultaneous or not, I only asked a reseller about it and they told me it is one algorithm at a time. Again, waiting for somebody to purchase one and try it out =)

Going by industry precedent, Baikal dual Algo miner is a called Dual Miner (Baikal D), does both together. While Baikal X10 which started with 5 algos, one at a time, was not called Penta.

Also see the picture in Akminer site above, it shows total power by adding power of all Algos. Adding power makes no sense if it only does one at a time.

Let’s see.

This one supposedly does 5 algos at the same time.

I checked with vendors. The unit can only mine one algorithm simultaneously, which makes it much less useful.

That's very strange. Why would they call it Penta Miner and also add up the power consumption of all algos to show total power consumption? If the algo run one at a time that power total does not make sense.

Interesting new miner from DaYun... specs are very weak, seems to be maybe an old model from their days as PinIdea that they just want to get rid of?

Groestl2.6 GH/s200 W
Myr-Groestl4.3 GH/s220 W
LBRY1.536 GH/s11 W
Pascal2.3 GH/s3 W
LYRA2rev2192 MH/s25W

Interesting to see how low the draw for LBRY and Pascal are.. perhaps this machine was a testbed for each of the chips they made? Or perhaps to keep the hashrate per device low enough that nobody suspected them secretly mining.

If anybody gets their hands on one of these, I would love to check the firmware image to see how long they have been using them. When PinIdea launched the RR-200 I was able to confirm they had chips in hand and mining Cryptonight as early as August 2017, long before anybody started pointing fingers at secret ASICs.
