We can all have some kinds of regrets. That can be for personal things like about our family. And then we can have regrets for not investing in Bitcoin and crypto.
But you can not feel regret about this. Because we did not know how much Bitcoins were going to be worth for us in the future.
Sometimes I think about if I made my family buy Bitcoins years back how much better off we would be. But we can not become depressed over it.

Treeple here,

First day on the legendary forum I've seen for so long through screenshots only.

How does one deal with regret over not researching and becoming a Bitcoiner earlier?

I often find myself filled with regret, daydreaming about going back in time and getting involved in Bitcoin early.
It has gotten to the point where I am not very optimistic about my 2.15 BTC position at ~37k

I am not greedy. I live a very simple life with my wife and daughter. We have dreams to buy a farm and live off the land. It's not possible for us where we currently live.
I have poured my life's savings into Bitcoin with the hopes of obtaining this freedom. This dream.

Any advice / encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

If you will dig more in internet you will find a man(actually His family) have decided to sell all His assets just to Invest in bitcoin , they even live in really poor living while waiting for bitcoin to increase its value.

In 2016, Dutch national Didi Taihuttu, his wife and three daughters sold everything they owned to invest in Bitcoin when it was trading at only $900. “We sold everything we had – house, cars, motorbikes, holiday home, clothes, toys, furniture and [it] all went into Bitcoin,” Mr Taihuttu tells The National.

Hope this helps you encouraged more mate.

Just deal and accept it.

You'll have to accept that part that it's done and we've missed those early days of Bitcoin. Nothing is going to change with our lives if we keep on dwelling in the past.
That's true. If we keep on dwelling in the past, it will make us remember some things which where not meant to be remembered. Let by gone be by gone and let's focus on the future. If you check people check the history of Bitcoin before and now, there is a sign of drastic increase which is a continuous one, and that is the more reason we should stop dwelling in the past and focus on the future, because the future is already bright.  Anytime you know about Investment is when start your journey, just accep the past and focus on the future.

Dream and regret brings nothing but frustration which can make things worse than they are so better focus on the future instead of keep looking at the past.

Every bitcoin holder had thoughts like this at least once, for example why I haven't bought Bitcoins for $100 which I spent on useless clothes, why I sell my bitcoin for two digit profit? blah blah.

No body keep looking back is fit for the raise of success, I think am fully agreed with you, about frustration why looking back. The day you realize your not doing the right thing in life that is the beginning of your success. Your at early stage to Bitcoin today millions of people are not yet informed just as you know now the same situation your facing now will be their own too, it's not all about regret taken the required action speak louder than regret Bitcoin can be like the man who wen to hire labourer in different time interval and decided to pay them the same rate according to how they work using their tools to collect their rewards, starting now is not issue ur effort matter's.

Hey OP, regret is a manifestation of greed and you don't need to make excuses for that behavior, because it's a natural thing that most people will experience.

I learned about bitcoin quite early, and the lessons I have received so far have blown away regrets about the past and replaced them with gratitude. Since I'm still here, to be able to talk about opportunities in bitcoin even when going through long positions in bitcoin at low prices is no problem. Live happily in the present, instead of regretting the opportunities that have passed and continue to prepare for your future, don't let that regret happen again, think positively.

sometimes it is very difficult to be able to make peace with ourselves for the mistakes we have made, but there is no other way apart from that, we have to be able to make peace with the mistakes we have made. because if we cannot make peace with ourselves, it means we will continue to live in the past and will not be able to move forward. this will even slowly damage ourselves, because we continue to blame ourselves for these mistakes. and because of this, make peace with yourself first and just accept the fact that you can't turn back time.

Investing in bitcoin is a good decision don't regret it not only you but there are many other investors who get some profit if they invest late. Do not combine bitcoin investing with your everyday thinking. Based on your financial situation try to save long term separately. Bitcoin has a bright future. Don't regret bitcoin price will go up you can move towards fulfilling your dream.
and that is worth listening mate , sometimes we just need to accept the fact that not everything will come our way , but if we will do the right thing then we can achieve what we have to gather.
invest with the amount we can afford to lose and we can afford to keep waiting and not to expect easy income because this is what crypto specially bitcoin investing means.

You already have bitcoin and that was the advice I was gonna give you.

You have to accept the fact that you can not turn back time. You just have to be grateful of what you already have. You said you are not greedy so it should be easy to accept what you current have. I can not explain that kind of regret other than greed. I too wonder sometimes what would have happened if I had invested in bitcoin earlier but it does not consume my everyday thoughts.

I do have bitcoin and I already feel so much thankful that I had found bitcoin and now I have a great future ahead of me.

Mate bitcoin will still increase. You will see more and more money so do not feel regretful of the time you did not invest. Just think that someday, you are the one late comers will look up to because you invested earlier than them and they would wish they had become like you.

You accept it, buy and hold and keep the faith that we're still on the early days of bitcoin and the entire world hasn't adopted yet. There's more to come actually for Bitcoin even if it's already sitting $50k - $52k now.
