I can't find GTX 1660 super for 200$ online, if you can get them for the price I think its good enough compare to 300$ that's been sold for in my country, don't care about the memory since Ethereum is already going away, with 6GB memory you are going to keep mining ETC and others for years to come.

$200 is the wholesale price if you take several dozen video cards. But I think that in a month these video cards will cost even less. For $200 just a used graphics card.

I prefer tests where the multimeter shows consumption from the wall in normal mode and in mining mode. Then we will see honest electricity consumption.
This is a very good video card and it is not hot, which means it will work without problems in any cheap open case.

Both are good cards to mine

6700xt does 47Mhs consuming 110w more or less (on the wall, 90w on software)
Both are pretty easy to configure and let running 24h, but I prefer 6700xt due to a possible resale in a few years
And obviously, 12Gb vs 6Gb

AMD 6700XT

The 6700XT has more than 6GB of memory and that's a true winner here. Future Proof First.
Then it might be better to look for a Radeon RX 6800 XT video card. It has 16 GB of memory, and if mining requires more than 8 GB of memory in the future, then this will be a good buy. This video card is also cold and there are no problems with it in mining.
No PoW coin has made it to 5GB yet like Ethereum and ETH pow is going away in September 2022, I believe that 6GB cards still have a long year ahead and 8GB cards are perfect for long term mining, 16GB is overkill, I doubt a coin will made it that far.
There was one coin that required more than 7 GB of video memory. A large amount of memory allows you to mine 2 coins in dual mode.
Perhaps AMD and Nvidia will want to increase sales of video cards and come up with a new coin that needs video cards with more than 8 GB of memory.

Is a graphic card with 6GB memory like 1660 super a good buy for 200$ right now? What about buying 6700XT at 300$

The 1660 can be considered an old generation compared to newer cards like the Rx 6700 Xt so that is a really great deal to get it at 300 dollars and I doubt it can go further down, for a card of 12 GB in memory can be considered a very good price as beside of mining this card performs really well also in gaming. This makes it to be the better card between the two as it has also better resale value to gamers if you want to sell it in the future.

If I can call it a "downside" is that the AMD cards are better mostly on Ethash algorithm compared to Nvidia cards who can mine more algorithms.

The RX6700XT have 12GB of memory, so is good for a very long time...

The price is very good for both video cards. But there are about 2 months left until the end of mining. Read about the announcement date of the POS algorithm.
How long will it take to deliver video cards and start mining?
In 2 months it can be cheaper in your market.

6700XT @$300 seems like a good deal since the guy above has said 47Mhs with less than 100W (power on the wall will be higher since the PSU efficiency). But one more thing you should consider: nvidia cards usually have a higher hash for nearly the rest of PoW coins other than ETH. This is why some rather invest in nvidia cards like the 3060 (@$350-400 price range now) for better future-proof. Especially when The Merge for ETH PoS estimates at September of this year so most speculate that if ETH can't be mineable with PoW then other coins will have to take its place.

IMHO the 6700XT is a better deal. They are newer, more energy efficient and have more mem,
