Definitely not soon. But it's possible in the next few decades

I feel a few decades, may be too long, maybe a decade or two?  The current fiat system is totally mess up beyond repair

I watch the markets closely and it’s my guess that within the next 12 months some very interesting things are going to happen to Fiat ( paper ) Currency , I say interesting not to be a doom and gloom advocate but I see bubbles everywhere: Bonds, Stocks and Derivative markets. So if everything implodes within the next 12 months where is one to go to protect their purchasing power? Gold, Silver and Crypto’s of course.

I see people piling into all three asset classes above or at least those who act early enough, unfortunately many who are asleep at the wheel will re-act and it will be too late for them, as they said in South Park “Poof and It’s Gone!!” either the purchasing power of your cash will be devalued or we will see more Bail-ins as we did in Cyprus where “they” just take a % of your savings “Ouch”

Some would say Crypto’s only dilute people’s investments into Gold & Silver Bullion which has been the only “Money” there ever has been for over 5000 years, to a point I agree but if people have faith in it, it will work. Fiat Currency has thought us this over the last 40 years. So to finish with a question? I see the top 5 Crypto’s doing really well over the next year but what about the others as they seem to be springing up everyday? And who are seen as the Top 5 after Bitcoin?

Fiat is probably not going anywhere, period. However, perhaps cryptos can be a second form of payment. In any case be sure to never invest more than you can afford to lose (in case cryptos go to 0).

Not so soon, the fiat currencies are so entrenched in every sector of the economy and our lives that it will take a long time and a lot of disruptive events to get rid of the fiat.

If you see bubbles everywhere except in the crypto-currency space, you need to rethink your outlook towards everything for your own good. It is an exciting time for crypto-currencies but fiat money isn't going anywhere in the next 12 months. Be practical and rational especially with your money. Just a friendly advice.
