Fascinating. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor that was an action of war, but When America earlier this year threatened to bomb Syria it was in the name of peace. Double-standards anyone? Tongue

Did you forget US bombing Korea, China, Guatemala, Indonesia, Cuba, Belgian Congo, Dominican Republic, Peru, Laos,
Vietnam, Cambodia, Lebanon, Grenada, Libya, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Iran, Panama, Iraq, Kuwait, Somalia,
Bosnia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan ?
   Sad
And a couple of them twice? Wink

All that ruthless killing of millions just for the greed of oilfields and wealth  Undecided

In my life will I ever see a day when people and soldiers living in US will wake up from their century old sleep and stand up in a revolution against their leaders and realize that all their leaders do is treat them like puppets. Fool them into believing they are going to save them from "terrorists" by sending thousands of troops to a country, bombing innocent kids, families and ultimately referring to the one died as "terrorists" while they quietly smuggle their resources.

Don't know about the world, but I guess by now at least the people in this thread know which country is the real "terrorist", no?

Well it's not just Americans, you get a lot of that shit in the UK and they never shut up about it, normally when a memorial day of some sort comes on I make sure never to go near a television, they only ever give a shit about how many of 'their' soldiers died, they don't give a crap about how many civilians they got killed or how many enemy soldiers were killed.

I've been living and working in Europe for awhile now, originally from the US, and I was surprised how nationalistic and weird some of the British are, almost just like in the US.

ooo you don't want to say that while the Americans are in mourning, they'll lecture you about how their troops died for your freedom and how your country would have been invaded if it wasn't for them.
Yeah I've been in discussions like that numerous times! Those "freedom" loving Americans! Cheesy
No, I'm a swede, we didn't get invaded, we earned a lot of money by selling iron ore to Hitler and when the war was over we earned even more from our fully functioning industries. We profited from the war (bloody, dirty money)!

(Just to make clear, I do not in any way say that WWII was a good thing!)

One of the greatest naval officers in history but bound by ancient codes that simply didn't work any more and he knew it.

Harvard educated; 1919-1921, Yamamoto loved the USA and hated the thought of going to war.

I keep his portrait on my office wall along with those of other famous men, hoping for inspiration.

My $.02.
