Decided to open a new thread named – «Decentralized applications of the future».
I want to share, discuss and listen to different opinions of the following subject from members of this forum. Wanna talk about perspective applications based on a blockchain technology. As we all know, we have a new growing sphere of world – cryptonomics, where economics and information merge together, where information directly connects to value and is distributed peer-to-peer (from customers to customers) without any third party. It is naturally, that in this sphere purely new working projects and applications will emerge and the value within it will be crypto-currencies. These new technologies offer big advantages due to decentralization, high level of security, high levels of transactions and other.
What projects and do you like? What apps do you use now already? What apps do you want to see in the future? What benefit does it bring? What problems do they solve? What use cases do they fit?
Please, don’t put here speculative aspect of crypto-currencies and their price volatility, this topic is not about it, it’s only about benefits and workability for the society.
I want to start with these examples:
1) ClearPoll. This service offers a possibility to create different polls and even elections. Blockchain assures that it won’t be compromised, it will be 100% transparent and strong against hacking. Even president elections can be run on it – even McCafe noticed this project in his twitter.
2) iEXEC/SONM/Golem. and other types of cloud computing apps. Do you have spare power of your PC? Distribute it to customers who need it and earn cryptocurrency. It will be very usefull and convenient only to distribute desired amount of watts of your PC in order to protect hardware.
3) Utrum. This platform will provide unbiased information about different units of crypto-world. We have to agree, there are a lot of scam nowdays, false ICO, scam assets, different types of frauds, untrusted persons, etc. People would share their opinions - pros and cons that they know, suggest to invest/not to invest/stay away and other ideas. Blockchain-based app will guarantee transparency and confidentiality, also decentralization will confirm that there is no fraud/biased information from the platform itself.
4) Cindicator. AI-power bot that makes forecasts of probability events in the future. It gathers large amount of data all across the web.
5) FileCoin/Sia/Oyster Shell. These are the examples of decentralized cloud storages. As far as I know, all of them are in pre-production/beta stage and aren’t fully working now, but you can upload and download your files using Oyster already.
