Ok, lets jump on this new sale as quickly as possible.  Comparison table added here:

Does this sale change the terms of the group buy?

Do I get more GH for my BTC if I join now?

I think we've come to the point where there is a clear place to put our bitcoin.  After I work out some details I'll start this thread up again and get things rolling.

I'm sure many of you that expressed interest earlier have already moved on.  With the problems that every company seemed to be having it seemed like a good idea to hold off until there was a clear answer.  After several interviews with members of the HashFast team I'm convinced that there is no impediment to making a good return with them, and that they will be offering the most competitive products.

HashFast and FastHash are 2 different ASIC companies/products.

Confusing. I was trying to figure this out. Can you cite any other sources to confirm this? This is all I've found on the forums so far.
Would be surprising that two companies allow/accept such similar sounding names.
HashFast is manufacturing the Golden Nonce chip that is currently being used in the Baby Jet.  https://hashfast.com/

Fast-Hash One is the name of a Virtual Mining Corporation (VMC) product line.  http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_product=21&controller=product

Unfortunately I'm not sure who planned on using that name first, but looking at these threads:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/easic-announces-24-ths-fast-hash-miner-activemining-shares-move-70-288915

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hashfast-announces-specs-for-new-asic-400ghs-262052

You get the picture that one became public a couple months before the other.

How/where will you be hosting? I offer my services! Tongue

I can confirm bobsag3 is moving shortly into an excellent, world class hosting facility of his own shortly and that he's a top vetted miner host in my Miner Host Matchmaking Index.

With his introductory rates: He also has the world's best hosting miner pricing at the moment, bar none.

So the plan by far is group buy and hosted mining right? What about shares?
I would like to see some Bitfury in the mix too.
What about Labcoin, BTCGarden, Avalon next gen?
I am in for up to 10BTC for the moment but very interested in this long term!
I can find free electricity AND/OR very low power cost (Dubai)..
Yes, every manufacture is being considered.  I wanted to start with KnCMiner at the moment, as they have the free machine per 10 orders.  BitFury looks promising, and would be a great place to diversify into.

There will be more information available soon.  I've been working with someone to clarify all the details, and he's organizing the plan more this weekend.

Updated original post.
Ready to start placing orders.  To be as profitable as possible we should place our orders as early as possible.

Sorry to the chip buy group!  I wanted as many options as possible, but we got shut down there.  Maybe one of the other companies will come through.

I would be interested in buying some chips, looking to spend 3-5 BTC
The chips are expected to be around $5000 each

Price for chips only had to be lower ($4000), because i exspect they offer a hole single chip mining machine for around 5000 $US.
Why ? At moment KnCMiner are on top with it 6990$US Jupiter. A lot of people are full invested in this stuff solo or GB.
KnCMiners has a bonus of first mover in next generation ACIS chips and HashFast needs fast a great lot of (prepaid) orders to get its ROI.
Imho
At this point I haven't heard them say anything about preorders, except to claim they won't use that process.  Many companies have reversed on that before, though.

Yes the chips may be more expensive than others, but I think some of the idea that they will cost so much comes from basing their costs on KnCMiner.  I have heard the process could be cheaper, as 28nm infrastructure has been overbuilt recently.  Supposedly KnC started a bit before and didn't have as many fabrication options.

any plan to do an IPO on this, just like addiction/soniq with the groupbuy?  Smiley
Yes, I am going to contact BTCTC and maybe a couple other exchanges soon.  I have no idea how to write a prospectus, but I think people understand the situation here.

I contacted them a few months ago to see what preparations needed to be done, and I think we will have to be a little more organized before they will accept an application.  Thanks for letting me know you're interested.  I'll send an email to them today to see what I need to do to fulfill their requirements.

After researching the market more, it looks like there are some great options coming.  Apparently HashFast making their announcement spurred others to let us know what they are planning.  This is great news for bitcoin, in that we will see multiple companies releasing cutting edge products.  This should allow a greater decentralization to permeate the network than one company might be able to achieve.

It is also great news for the mining community to hear that there are multiple companies vying for our attention.  This will keep prices reasonable, and allow for diversification in case a chip design is flawed, or there are delays.  (I know, NOBODY expects delays these days)  Roll Eyes

As the new designs should push each other to price their equipment competitively, and the credentials line up, I would like to add more options.  For now this just means Cointerra, which is a manufacturer newly unveiled.  If the rumor about Avalon's 20nm chip is true, that would seem an excellent option to investigate.

For hosted mining I will buy from the relevant top producers based on their ROI.  (cost-gain)/cost  Spreading the investment as much as possible based on the relative profit margins will minimize any loss due to unexpected problems.

I can't for the relevant information to start rolling in so we can begin to prepare for the next couple months!

Can you imagine what's going to happen to the difficulty if this company really does start rolling out 400 GH/s chips, consuming 10% of the power per GH, at a relatively affordable price, in October? Move over, Knc.

Still a big if, though.

Keeping an eye on this. Btw, you still have several references to FastHash in the OP.
Hard to believe a company and mining machine come out with such close names one after the other.  Thanks for catching that.

For now this thread will be used to gather people interested in a group buy together.
If you would like to participate just leave a note here with the tentative amount in BTC.

Tentative 10 BTC for a group buy. Assuming we do get those answers and that the group jumps in early of course.  Smiley

It seems that way.  Smiley

Just to be clear, these are estimates.  I got a reply from a personal message that said they will release pricing soon.

There are a lot of nuances here too, I talk a lot about 400GH for instance.  The chip is being designed for 400GH at max potential.  All of that will depend on cooling, though.

That being said, quite exciting stuff!  I think most people were expecting the time frame on the next big drop in price/GH to be a little farther out.  I was still getting used to KnCMiner and BitFury's numbers.

Ok, I had seen a couple people state that they had confirmed Uniquify's relationship with HashFast.  Now that I've received my own, though, I feel much better.

Yes, I can confirm that we are implementing the Hashfast chip.
