Decred is an open-source, community-based cryptocurrency, similar to Bitcoin. Decred was launched in February 2016 by the bitcoin developers that engineered btcsuite,an alternative full-node Bitcoin implementation written in the Go programming language and is used by development projects such as Ethereum, Factom, BitGo, OpenBazaar, and the Lightning Network.

There are three main ways to interact with Decred:

1.The Wallet - For sending and receiving funds as well as participating in PoS mining.

2.Proof-of-work Mining - Using computing power to validate transactions on the network and generate new Decred tokens.

3.Proof-of-stake Mining - Using funds to vote on important network development matters and validate transactions for rewards.

Decred is good and solid company. worth to invest.

In my opinion, the Decred project is a very unique project, I can not even imagine how much money people have made over the past year, because Decred today costs more than $ 100, and how much it costs in early 2017, I think decred will repeat the fate of ETH

I don't think that's right source to know what's the reason Decred rises. Here is their ANN thread OP https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1290358.7880 Mostly the reason why a coin rises so quickly because there are some good news about that coin, or people wanna pump that coin.
