Oh, looks like those 4 I mentioned were just incorrectly traced by blockchain.info.  Looks like 2 were from GHash.io, one from HHTTMP, and one from a private pool.  Weird.
Sorry Tycho!  I'll keep mining a little on deepbit and hopefully get my balance a little higher (looks like it's getting a block every 4 days on average and deepbit is about due for one).

Yeah, I also emailed him at that page's Contact Us a little while ago.  Pools are still pretty profitable though, no sense in letting one of the early leaders dwindle down to an also-ran but looks like that's what has happened.

Okay, I PM'd him but I'll keep you guys updated.  Balance still hasn't been updated and the whole site's news and everything hasn't been updated since 2012.  Also, the hashing rate has just fallen to 1068gh/s from about 1700 this past weekend.  Looks like people are jumping ship after not getting payments?  I know I did.  They could've turned this around earlier this year with some news updates, an api, a little bit of site modernization but I guess they're tired and want BTC Guild to have a near-monopoly :-(
Tycho's been working on something which has prospects of actually generating more money than it costs atm  Tongue

Okay, well in a few hours once I can pm, I'll try pming him.  Thanks.
I suppose nobody else in here still uses Deepbit? :-/, shame since it used to be so good.

I haven't used deepbit but I'm pretty sure a few members do around here. Well at least there's been discussions on it before.

The DeepBit forum handle isn't maintained. He uses this one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/tycho-7603

Yes, 24 hours ago inquiring about the first block, I emailed the "[email protected]" email they list on the site.  I also found their account on here and saw they haven't been active since January :-(

Have you tried contacting a admin just in case they are having trouble on their end? This happens on a regular basis with many different pools.

I used them for mining over 5BTC back in 2011 and they were great, so when I recently bought some ASICs I put a couple back on that pool and the rest on BTCGuild just to hedge my bets.  In the past 48 hours, there have been 4 blocks solved by Deepbit since I've been mining with them and I haven't gotten anything added to my balance!
I started a few hours before we solved 258411, then last night we got 258584, 258615, 258631.

I know I'm not pulling crazy hashes (only about 0.7 Gh/s on that pool), but the pool is small enough that I should be getting around a bitcent per solve (0.0125ish if my math is correct).  The pool goes between 1200-1700 Gh/s, but yesterday and today it's been under 1400.
