Was the wallet you used for the 1st time 100% secure, encrypted etc? I've heard about rare big delays but first time I read about funds vanishing. Sounds alarming, how common is this?

Yes, you should better assume it's lost, and eventually wake up with a nice suprise Smiley

Hello to all. New to the bitcoin world but with 2 bad experiences in my short time.
1st was with blockchain that my very fisrt bitcoins dissappeared after they arrived on my wallet and probably the 2nd is now with deepbit that after 7 hours my 0.25btc doesn't seem that they'll arrive to me.
In my 1st case I contacted blockchain and reported the incident immediately but until now (1 month later) no one answered me.
Now with the 2nd case I don't know what to do. In my payments section in deepbit the payment's address seems to be correct and right now my bitcoin-qt wallet seems to be synced with the network.
Despite all this, I can't find the transaction (neither unconfirmed) or from web by clicking my address (only saws the latest 6 transactions that I've made a couple of days ago).
So my friends, before I dump this sport called "bitcoins", has anyone the will to help me find out what happened, or recommend me what should I do?
