Some transactions may be too small or have low priority or fail to propagate for other reasons, those will be confirmed by our own blocks and will appear in the blockchain after that.

Round duration can vary. This very long round already finished, so account balances will be updated in next hours.
This doesn't happens in PPS mode, that's why it has higher fee.
whats the update cylcle of the balance? Today I got an entry at 6.04 am and next at 17.02 and amount of BTC is the same as the entry before from 1:00 to 6.04.
You just quoted my answer up there. Round duration is different each time in Proportional mode.

Hi Tycho, and Bob,

guiminer with cgminer did in fact run all weekend without incident, with no flags.   guiminer with poclbm failed after minutes, not an overheating issue at all.

I tried a new wallet address and no email confirmation. I sent you a PM with my username.
PM received, will check the issue today.

I am curious as to why my miner will stop receiving blocks. Is this a problem on deepbit's end or mine? I am relatively new to mining so to best describe what I am talking about is that my miner (POCLBM) will go from the normal 400 m/h a sec to 0.300 after a few shares.
Yes, I received reports about this problem, but I need your help to find out the cause. I suspect that it's some kind of bug that was introduced in poclbm/guiminer recently.

Can you please try either cgminer or some other miner not based on poclbm/guuiminer just to check if the problem will persist or not ?

Help。。。

What's going on?Today, I in deepbit.net mention 0.04745408 Btc, transactions recorded as follows:

怎么回事?我今天在deepbit.net提了0.04745408btc,交易记录如下:
时间                 钱包地址                    数量

In GUIminer, with CL, it's not a heat issue.. after a few minutes (and always under 75 degrees) i get a pile of long poll I/O errors, then it's like this:

2013-04-26 10:22:20: Listener for "cl-deepbit": ResponseNotReady
...
26/04/2013 10:22:34, long poll IO error Deepbit.lib.InfoException: You are reconnecting to long poll too fast
2013-04-26 10:22:35: Listener for "cl-deepbit": pit.deepbit.net:8332 26/04/2013 10:22:35,  'NoneType' object has no attribute 'settimeout'

Is there a way to adjust polling reconnect rate? Is that all it could be?

Can't use cgminer, it's too aggressive with video card for deesktop use, looking at bfgminer though

With BFGMiner, you can disable longpolling... --no-longpoll is all it takes, or disable it from the ASCII interface.

How many GPUs do you use? Maybe dynamic threading for multiple GPUs might cause issues?

I'll try it on cg over the weekend.. I don't get as high a rate as with poclbm, especially with my aforementioned cl tweak, but worth a try.

I can really recommend BFGMiner.  In my experience, it runs best if you just pass it URL, username and password - OTOH, if you tweak it a little, it can give you a quite a few MH/s more, which I explicitly do not as I'd like to keep the temp of my GPU below 90C.  Cool

E-mail confirmations are working fine.
If you are using hotmail as your e-mail provider then you have to add "[email protected]" to your contact list, otherwise Hotmail just silently drops our e-mails.

Hi Tycho, I appreciate all you've done with deepbit, the quick payouts are great, the only reason I've stopped using it is the long polling errors that would prevent it from running overnight. Is there a solution to that?
Thanks for your feedback.

I received some reports about miner "freezing", but don't know the exact reason yet. In two cases it turned out to be caused by GPU overheating (somehow it didn't happened with other miners), but I noticed that it only happens with GUIminer.

Can you please check if same thing happens with cgminer or something else not based on poclbm ?

I am trying to change my wallet address and am unable to receive a confirmation email from Deepbit.net.
E-mail confirmations are working fine.
If you are using hotmail as your e-mail provider then you have to add "[email protected]" to your contact list, otherwise Hotmail just silently drops our e-mails.

Yes, our support e-mail address is temporarily unavailable as we are moving the mail server again, but I'm always here to answer any questions.
This doesn't affects the confirmation system.
