Here is my definition

Burstposting definition- A person that makes a posts then 1-5 minutes later makes another, and another, and another. I will not add someone here for burstposting if they have 1 post right after another every once in awhile. Sometimes a person reads the forum and makes a reply, then sees another topic they have a constructive reply for, but if quite a few of your posts are 1 right after the other, then you'll find yourself here.

I also think rule 32 goes hand in hand with this definition. Whether it be in the same thread/post or multiple threads one after the other. There are a few rare users who can post one post after the other and it be constructive but in most cases that's not the case. I would be less apt to say anything to a user who wasn't wearing a paid signature. Just looks like a user is posting trying to get paid as much as possible, especially in a campaign such as cryptotalk with a 20 max per day possibility.

I really am not trying to ruin anyone's year by kicking them from the campaign, but the campaign is large and I will not go easy. Cannot really afford to be nice to everyone otherwise its anarchy.

Please move this out of Meta... this has nothing to do with forum rules and belongs in services or wherever campaign stuff goes.

yahoo62278 can kick you out of the campaign for having blue eyes and there's nothing the forum can or should do about it. And we certainly don't need any more yobit threads.

Sorry for not knowing this has NOTHING to do with forum rules, to me it does. I dont like the attitude so I will close the thread and just dont give a shit.

Forget post bursting. Just think if a post is low quality. If you are posting every 5 minutes but posting good posts then I could not care how long you take to think your posts up and post them. If they are constructive and aren't the usual garbage here on the forum I can 100% guarantee you no one will have a problem.

Its only a problem if people are posting terrible posts as well as posting them in a short amount of time.

Okay this would go along with my personal definition as well - and would mean the ban of a fellow German guy from the yobit campaign is unjustified. Cheesy I am sure his life will go on, thats not my point...  Wink

Generally, burst posting is not against the rules of the forum as long as you don't spam. But every manager has its own rules and criteria.
Yahoo62278 defines Burst-posting as follows.

I will not add someone here for burstposting if they have 1 post right after another every once in awhile. Hey guys,

this is my first thread in this section and I have not personally had a problem with "burstposting" yet but I am afraid this could happen in the future since this seems to be highly subjective?

Why this thread? Well, I have already posted in the "yobit banned users thread" and I fully support to ban spammers from this forum, not just from yobit or any other campaign. BUT: I am also writing posts quickly one after another - is this burstposting? Just for your understanding: I havent had any problems with the campaign I am currently involved in and didnt have any problems with Hhampuzes campaigns either.

I wanted to create a thread on this topic anyways and now with a trusted German member of this community being banned from a campaign for "burstposting", I think it is time to clear things up.

Also, pardon me if this has been discussed before but from what I have seen - all this is highly subjective. People cant be "punished" just because they are creating 5 posts in 15 minutes for example - sorry but this wouldnt be fair - provided the posts make sense and make sense obviously! We shouldnt forget that this is a forum and no rocket science thing - if I have to think twice before every post I am writing, I think the whole point would be missed. And yes, there are tims when I am posting "One-Liners" but even then, these make sense...

One definition which is being posted is the following:

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

Well, its obvious that this refers to multiple posts in a row without editing the previous one - so we are talking about posts from one user in the same thread here. How can this definition then be used to ban people for making senseful posts in several different threads?!

Thank you very much in advance!
