It depends on many factors like what is the purpose of selling..if you want to buy physical goods then it would be better to sell for cash or if you want to trade or exchange in other currency then go with exchanges..Anyways The best way would be that which offers instant exchange with low fees so look for people or service who can exchange with you at lowest fees Smiley

whenever the question is about transfering my bitcoins into bank or converting them into faint then at first i put them into gambling site like coinroll and then generate 1-2% and then i talk to a trader that how much he needsto send the money to  my bank account and i give them whatever they want and ofcourse i keep the rates as low as i can i am just making my trades tax free by this method

For me, Coinbase is simple and fast. You lose a little on fees, but it is just as having a bank account in Bitcoin. You can sell Bitcoins to USD and back at anytime you please, then transfer to your regular bank account.

However, that is only if you are not very concerned about privacy.

Before I use to sell my bitcoins through the currency exchange threads here at BCT, I even tried using localbitcoins.
As time goes by and through convenience and good price range, I started instead of selling through verified and stable exchanges.

I think the best way to sell bitcoins is localbitcoins.com.
On localbitcoins.com price for bitcoin is higher to other sites.
Sell only to trusted members.

Coinbase is good
Xapo is good
localbitcoins is good

I've used all three with no issue.

The best one is localbitcoins because you can directly sell it for cash. Others may take some time and fee.
And don't forget aml/kyc process that you have to complete in order to cash out from those exchanges.

I personally like localbitcoins.

Another best option is try to sell in this forum from market place you may get some good buyers.

Localbitcoins and Kraken are the 2 best for me. I like the fact about both that I didn't have to get verified with neither in order to sell coins. I am just not feeling like sending all of my personal documents and utility bills and etc..  Of course you cannot sell tons of coins without a verification on these two, there are limits. For higher amounts without the verification people should use btc-e but their withdrawal fees are quite high depending on the withdrawal method.

If you want to sell to bank, I'm afriad you will got charged by some fee base on their policy or regulation

I am wondering whats the best way to sell bitcoin.
Is it better to sell it on an exchange and then transfer to bank account
or is it better to sell it for cash?

And would you say its easy to do one of those?

It would be the first time I sell alot of bitcoin. I would like to get some advice please on which way to choose.

if it can, sell for cash is good.

Yes selling for cash is really good option. However finding one is quit challenging. You can try localbitcoins for selling in cash and you may be lucky too.
but selling bitcoins for cash is very dangerous.
Because there are much chances of you getting scammed or robbed.

I didn't understood how one can scam when your doing deal face to face?

You means people will take your bitcoins and run away?

I have done couple of them but so for my experience is quite good.
There was a post on the forum about a scam/robbery and it goes like this ;

The person who was selling bitcoins agreed to meet at restaurant and the buyer also came there after sometime.

The buyer was having an iPhone and a laptop.
The seller first sends the bitcoins(around 100 I think) and when the buyer receives those Bitcoin he says that the cash is in the car, just wait here and I'll be right back.

The buyer goes outside and leaves his iPhone and laptop in the restaurant.

After an hour or so the buyer doesn't come back, then seller turns the laptop on and he see that those Bitcoin are moved to another address an hour ago and the wallet is password protected.

for me is good better then exchanges that will request my details
There are many exchanges out there which are well established and don't require your Id's for trading but if you want to cash out to your bank account then you have to provide Id's at every exchange.

Personally I like local bitcoins. As we can get a lot of options to sell our Bitcoins for.

Also I prefer selling them in person. And I always use some populated place while selling bitcoins. You know, to be on a safe side.

By own experience, I sujiro you to contact some Members here, researching history, feedback, and direct exchange with them, you can sell direct by transferencia bancaria or choose another method, but the best and direct into your account and paypal don't know if some accept, with the fear that there is a dispute.

Trust an exhange, I use Coinbase just due to habit but there are lots of credible sites out there.  Haven't used local bitcoin personally but I've heard good things, this option may be dependent on where you are located.

Cheers!

Well if you have somebody that would buy many coins of you then sell them for cash, of course. In this case you can also charge few percent over since you are doing the favor to this person, he or she doesn't have to register, go through the verification etc.

If you don't have such a person, then just sell them on the exchange. You will get the second best price after person to person trade.

Choose exchange wisely, depending on fees, verification process, withdrawal fees etc..

i simply use exchange but if you can find someone in your zone it would be better you can avoid any revelation of your identity in this way but you may be more limited compared to a verified exchange

For me and that's my personal opinion , you should sell them on bitcointalk . There is a section for that "Currency section" because exchange ask you for your ID & passport and residence and other useless crap that they probably sell to companies or whatever .
So if you care about your privacy trade here or other forums , if you don't then go for exchange .

For the methods if you are trading with trusted members on Bitcointalk then you can even use Paypal (when you sell to trsuted members) then withraw to your Bank account , or you can use Neteller , Payza , Paysafecard .. whatever you want [Only with trusted members I repeat]
