Bittrex is the worst right now, randomly closing the trades on some coins whenever it receives a huge pump and closing some positions so as to avoid filling orders that could potentially profit. Happened to me twice in a week and the feeling literally sucks since you're missing out on multiple opportunities already. Also, the verification system of theirs seemed to be messy/buggy and support takes forever to reply.
Speaking of worst, tell me an exchange which is doing super good right now ?
Fact is,every exchange won't be able to meet 100% of your expectations in the world without government policies. You need to find an exchange and get used to their drawbacks while you trade.Worst case, just stay off the markets.

As for OP's problem on cex, could it be that your account is compromised or some delay on trades due to the fact that a lot of users are using the platform? Both scenarios can happen for all we know.
Not to mention but I have heard exchanges doing it deliberately because they make 'margin' money. Also for OP's case,I agree with the account compromised part.

Probably because they have a lot of customers

email I received from them:

Honestly, I have been reading about exchanges over the globe in the last 3 months and I haven't stumbled into one whose users never had any problems. All exchanges have small or big problems, CEX.IO is just one of them, and until this last lag issues, I had been using it quite fine, but if they don't fix the lag issue soon, it will be over for me.

I've already seen some threads about CEX problems (maybe somewhere in scam accusation section). Duno why people are still using this exchange, it have a small volume comparing to the major ones and it may take a month to get a respond from their support. It is also suspicious that they every time I visit their website they are trying to sell me BTC for 30% over market value.
Anyway thanks for warning. Next time check this forum to figure out if you exchange is trustworthy.

Hi,

I have been trading on CEX.IO for about two months without any major issues, till the last couple of weeks.

In the last couple of weeks, it became too laggy and buggy. It gives frequent "network call" errors when you try to place an order or cancel it, which results in losing opportunities or even money since you can't place or cancel orders on a timely manner. Even worse than that, their system became too laggy that sometimes, even after you cancel an order, (after 10-15 minutes), the system automatically places one of your previously canceled orders, without you even knowing it.

Yesterday, which was also a laggy day, I closed my last trade and logged off from CEX.IO. Today, when I logged in, I noticed that a buy order had been placed and executed after closing my last trade, which caused me a considerable loss. The same thing happened 3 or 4 times in the last two weeks, but luckily, I was online to cancel the unintended buy orders timely. This time, I was not online and I lost money, due to the lag on CEX.IO server.

If you don't want to lose money, stay away from CEX.IO.

Good to know, I was about to verify and start trading there because many friends of mine are telling me that they are selling bitcoins there with 1000 USD plus value than the actual value of bitcoin so I was tempted. I should stick to my favorite means of doing exchanges in the EU.
