The biggest guns on the planet carry the biggest influence on the planet. If you think otherwise, you are an idiot.

Influence is one thing, colonialism is another.
If you think you can keep the world at the tip of a gun forever, then you're an idiot and, to the worse, a dangerous one.  Wink

What does that have to do with right here, right now? Yes, it's an unsustainable system, but it seems to be going strong at the present. I have heard nothing about the next big Russian pop star, but you can bet your sweet ass they know who britney spears is, or whatever crap the kids are listening to these days. Modern colonialism...
Russians know Britney so US rule the world
Russians know Patricia Kaas so France rules the world?

We are discussing colonialism and you say 'rules the world' twice. Figure out what we are talking about and maybe you could make a productive comment.

Back in the Cold War when Russia was bearing as many weapons as USA you wouldn't know who's the "biggest pop star" in USSR anyway, and they already knew Michael Jackson.
English has taken of as "lingua franca", lab experiments like Esperanto are total failures and eventually we're aiming at "Globbish" within few generations. After all different languages are result of lack of contact between people, a subject that has been taken care of with nowadays communications. Just out of Nationalisms people insist into use impractical and outdated languages.

I don't really understand what you are saying, but my point is that the USA *IS* in fact the world government.

No it is *NOT*.

Quote
How many places can afford not to bend to the will of the largest economy in the world? Third world dictatorships can, but that's about it, and their people sure suffer for it.

If you think you are not influenced by US colonialism, you are sorely mistaken and should probably open your eyes.

You're mistaken co-op with ruling. Unless the US sees *REALLY* evil (read: financial interest) on btc or ixc and go on a strong campaign against it, like as the so called "war on drugs", most of the other countries will not follow.
If US starts to bitch its allies enough to get them leaving NATO you'll see how fast the largest World debtor goes down.

The US is wearing a heavier boot than anyone else in the world. I wouldn't want it on my neck.

Right, the US citizens really should worry about that, as for those it is in fact their government. However to many and many people around the globe "their government" can do whatever it wants and those people wouldn't be giving a damn about it. I just need to call China "my government", for an instance, to have US way way offshore and print its bans in soft toilet paper.

Um, excuse me, but...which government are you talking about?

It's something you easily notice in this forum about Americans: They truly believe "US rules the World". It seams their government manages to scare them so well that they come to believe the entire planet is under its boot.
A bit like a whore believing his pimp to be the strongest man in the World, I guess...

Um, excuse me, but...which government are you talking about?

In case you don't know, there are many  different governments (I, for one, have two governments to call "my government" :p ), some more likely to ban ZEHCOINS then others. So, which one do you mean?

It looks like the game of musical chairs is over.

Trades down to:

sell   0.00070000   290.00000000   0.20300000

The low currently for today is now 0.0003btc / ixcoin. Wow! Cheesy

i think the 'wow' factor here is that people are still buying it for prices like this:

buy   0.00180001   2612.00000000

Within just a few days Ixcoin is trading for around 0.005 BTC each, so at the current exchange rate that's about 4.8cents each Ixcoin?

Think about how much it will be worth a year from now...

Reason to get people to mine these...  perhaps to lower the bitcoin network hashrate to keep difficulty low?  Just the same I put a couple of 6870's on it for shits and giggles.  I think I made 3 cents (USD) so far, we'll see if it averages to something better in a hour.  If this does work out, I don't expect it will last very long.

Yep, that is me.  I am completely amazed that people would buy these things.  However, I want to try another Bitcoin-clone.  We have it set so that blocks are mined once every 2 minutes and are worth 2 coins.  Also no limit on the maximum coins!  Naturally I want to try out other ideas but that would take too much work.

If anyone does this let me know.  I'll join.  Otherwise I'll just have to go and make a derivation myself.

If I knew how to code I'd do it myself too. I think it would be a good idea to have many flavors out there and let the market's natural selection mechanisms work on them. Eventually the superior one shall survive.

This is where i agree and would be willing to contribute to a concerted effort.

Honestly I am totally surprised this hasn't happened already. A while back I read a bunch of threads about "inflatcoin" and other such ideas for modifying bitcoin. Why haven't these people forked bitcoin already to have their ideas implemented. Maybe some of these ideas are not so easy to code. What ixcoin did is totally silly easy to code - just change the name and the block reward.

At the very worst it was a good experiment to see how a new blockchain might act with early adopters. It was actually interesting to see my ixcoin client ring in 96 Ixcoins every minute or so for like 3 hours straight.

No, it's called 'refusing to participate in some dickheads poaching of someone other's creative content'. It undermines everything the actual creators of his infrastructure are doing.

Laughing all the way to the bank and losing people's respect for it. This is what I read; 'Scam or not, I got paid so I don't care (because I am scum).'

I have no idea where ixcoins will go but all the nay-sayers use the exact same terms that were spread about bitcoins at its infant stage.
The difference was that bitcoins were unique and innovative. If not for that, nothing would have distinguished bitcoins from any number of scams that have parted suckers from their money in the past.

1) Mine IXC
2) Sell and make 10x profit
3) Make a thread letting everyone know...
4) Huh
5) profit? lulz

3) Make a thread letting everyone know what a massive d-bag you are...

The creator of scamcoin has a lot to gain by risking $2500us to put up massive buy orders inflating the apparent values of his filthy coins. Haven't you idiots heard of a long con?

I've heard of a stop-whining-coin  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I am not whining. I am voicing my utter astonishment that people are complicit and this asshole's scam and aren't even ashamed of it.

BitcoinEXpress is the worst of them, hyping it in every running thread and creating new threads to hype it some more.

Someone will be left holding the bag. He should be ashamed of himself.

Sounds like whining to me.

Seems like you're being a dick for no reason.

So on the exchange you can only use a deposit address to send ixcoins once. What happens if you try to send two deposits with the same address?
They may or may not get picked up depending on your timing. Send me a PM if it doesn't and I can fix it up. It might take a day or two though.

you lose

I looked at that twice too, gotta remember, "never do that".
Whoops.

Contact DoubleC and he will send them back to your funding address.

I've done the same thing with namecoin and he was willing to refund all of the namecoins I accidentally sent to the wrong address.

people are probably just trading in it for a bit of fun and excitement... i bought a few of them for 0.008 each and then 1 minute later someone bought some for 0.004 each... half what i paid... i know it's possible i'll lose all my money, but then again, i'm approaching it a bit like one of these gambling games we see so much on this forum Smiley
No harm in having a little fun. Just remember, 100% of your 'investment' is at risk.

definitely... i'm not the guy who's playing with 250 BTC by the way Cheesy

I would be extremely wary of offering BTC for IXC. I fear the price is a nonsense price made up from a large number of small transactions and as soon as a large number of asks are placed, someone will wipe them all out with a large dump of IXC, dropping the price to near zero and raking in the bitcoins.

I'm not selling a lot, just a 1000 so far. I still have 60,000 IXC.

Yup it was getting too much attention too quick. Early adopters of bitcoin dont like that.

I have a few IXC, so I want to see it rally!

How does the market rally when you're selling?
