LOL this is rich!  BitcoinEXpress begging DoubleC to make an exchange for GG, while at the same time forcing DoubleC to stop NMC transactions on his exchange. Hey genius, if you want someone to build something for you, you might not want to take away one of his revenue streams. LOL

I guess you can exchange anything with value, but I would have less faith in these testcoins over any of the alternates, especially as you can see some of the "testing" has produced ....non valid results based on the rules of the coin.. see arts creative time stamping.

why would I want to buy gelds produced this way?

I think they first have to fix the bugs and restart the chain.
I'm sure this will happen soon.

Anyways, let's wait on DoubleC and see if he is interested. He could provide the pool site if he wanted as well as the exchange.
It's interesting but the difficulty/mining issue that ArtForZ found makes me wary of running any exchange or pool. Has that been fixed?

I concur it would be interesting to see what results that would output.

BTW, Geist Geld site will be soon upon us.

It will have bounties and stuff, like every fork (I tried adding blackjack and hookers but did not succeed)

LOLCUST: Bitcoin Express has enough GH/s to be a pool himself. Problem solved!

I am more concerned about pools in terms of how will the "share" distribution mechanisms handle the speeds necessary to effectively mine 15/s blocks, not just how network adjusts to high GH/s. The best way to find out, and that is to get pools into the fray and see how it goes.

Actually, a pool would be vastly more needed now than an exchange.

Geist Geld, by virtue of fast blocks, favors significant centralization, and pools naturally provide a way to arrange a limited, competitive form of centralization.

Also, it would be interesting to see whether such fast blocks cause "quirkiness" in pool software operation.

P.S.:
Geist Geld isn't limited to experiments with block rate.

It has enabled nonstandard transactions, already supports Escrow (multisign transactions) and is likely to support message signing pretty soon.

If you want people to mine it, there needs to be an exchange also.

Point.

Proposal:

Launch pool first, get ETA of +3 (or whatever DoubleC is comfortable with)  days on exchange opening.

What he mean to say is he won't mine it unless he can exchange it somewhere. Profit anyone?

Sounds like a plan!
