2) Set a 2FA or U2F authentication method whenever possible and always save the backup key in a safe storage place.

Those are all good tips.
I would add about 2fa that you can use Authy authenticator. It's a good program which save your keys and logins in your account. If you lose your phone, you can just recover your account.

I prefer it over Google authenticator, because if you use Google authenticator and lose your phone all your 2fa are lost forever (unless you backed the keys up.

Excellent guidelines. Great advice for newbies, but useful to remember in general for everyone, experienced or not. Good job Vaultmex, you deserve sMerit and my compliments because is nice to see an Exchange entity like you putting efforts into community education to cryptocurrencies.

Keep the good job up!

EDIT: i will review your website too and write something for the community, if your exchange is good as your advices it deserves to be known around! Smiley

6) Stay anonymous. The most you can, of course.

Why?

You forgot one thing, use GNU/Linux. It protects you a lot.

Because privacy is a fundamental right and our informations exchange is heavily abused by trusted and untrusted third parties for their own interest and profits.

This is why you should keep yourself anonymous at the most on your daily basis internet browsing.

Saying you don't need privacy because you got nothing to hide is like saying that you don't need freedom of speach just because you don't have nothing to say.

1) Don't use SMS 2FA on your accounts

To be fair, using it is better than using nothing. It should definitely be lowest on the priority list when it comes to account protection though.

6) Stay anonymous. The most you can, of course.

Why?

Not OP, but everyone has the right to privacy, and that should be reason enough IMO. As far as practicality goes, it also helps prevent social engineering attacks, identity theft, etc.

Right.

We at VaultMex.com believe that privacy is a fundamental human right, moreover in this information-based society.
