Read a report once, now 6 months dated, that no more than 2% of btc users are female

Work to do!

Not 2%. Much more than that. According to the data from Mt Gox, around 12% of the users who lost their coins / fiat were female. So we can assume that women comprise some 10-15% of the Bitcoiners.

They're trying to keep under the radar while they build their fortune which they don't want their husbands/partners to know about - just in case they ever divorce  Grin

Real female members are posing as males so they draw no attention. Male members use female sounding usernames hoping to be treated differently. So which is which? We will never know for sure.

Agree, and women were treated really bad in competitive online game like HoN but treated really good on MMORPG games.

women are scared of nerds like you that use bitcoin and searching for them that's why you don't see them Grin

jokes aside, bitcoin started and still mainly a geeky thing, and in the geek community women are already a minority, I think the women number will grow exponentially when bitcoin becomes a regular and mainstream thing

I don't think so.   Wink  Women are more about "touchy feely" and bitcoin is all about cold hard mathematics.
So what you are saying is that geeky stuff can be touchy and feely ? hmm Cheesy

2% is better than 1 % Smiley this would be a dull place without some females...And NO not because of a sexual nature ..simply for the better halves views and opinons on things.  Cheesy

Better halves?  Maybe in marriage... not in cryptocurrencies.  What do they bring to the table that males cannot?
