Oh. So they're just spambots, and leave after posting. That makes sense now. I just wasn't sure if I was breaking some etiquette rules.

Sorry, but are topics NOT supposed to be made by newbies? I made one in economics with a question, but should I get rid of it? Or are they misc. questions made to look like spam?

Newbies can make threads and yours is fine, it's just copy and past spambots that are reposting threads from reddit that are causing trouble. Spambots very rarely reply to their own threads or others after they've posted them so it's a big giveaway.

They're spambots and they use bot software. They can create as many accounts and threads as they can. Just report them or post them in here.
Too much of this though and you might find yourself muted or temp ban. While reporting is healthy, inaccuracy could be a problem with the mods wasting time on your reports.

I would leave it to the mods to decide.

Who will get muted or temp banned? I don't think they're going to do this for people who are reporting valid things. If you're definitely reporting a spambot then you will probably get an accurate report. I usually report them as a reddit spambot and provide a link to the content they've copied. If I can't find any solid info but they're more than likely a bot I post in the spambot thread for a mod to check or keep an eye on.

They might be the Reddit copy paste spam bots that I've seen someone complain about in another Meta thread. Just copy and search the post and you'll see if it's that case.

Yeah, they're the ones. Some of them don't show up on google though. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/zazadude-319169  I'm pretty sure that's one but can't find the posts he's copied.

Edit found one of his actually: http://www.reddit.com/r/sex/comments/228nxw/strip_clubs/ https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--580869

These newbs are not all reddit crossspambots. Like this guy: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/oceanboo-319140

His topics are similarly worthless, but then he replies occasionally. As I said before, he (and others) is/are nsa/big bizniz/social engineer

Yeah, I thought he was one at first but was unsure, but seems you're only half right: http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/i6hbl/saw_a_girls_top_come_off_in_the_ocean_whats_your/ https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--593187

It seems he's replying to them but maybe he is also using a bot or just copy and pasting topics from reddit manually. I tend to find If they make a load of random threads but don't bother replying to any then it's safe to say they're a bot.

Software like xrumer can create up to 100,000 accounts and post in an hour provided it has enough proxies.
