This idea kind of works against this forum. You know what it essentially sounds like? An altcoin. You can't integrate an altcoin into a forum which is based entirely on the concept of Bitcoin.

Exactly. If you want to tip someone it would make sense to send them some bitcoins. Maybe some micro transaction tipping feature could be introduced whether by this forum or a third party.

It sounds like a fine idea for gaming forums, but isn't viable in a forum like this. People aren't buying and selling little games here or selling the latest hack - BCT is at least a semi-serious forum, where people are looking to make money and/or create something of value.

Maybe it could be called bctc? Like bitcointalk coin, you can get it by posting and cam tip gamble or exchange it for goods or other currencies?

I don't think it is really needed. If you want to tip a person, you can do it by sending them BTC or LTC or any other things. This coin isn't really needed. If they implement this, I think a wallet for this forum will b needed too. Implementing a wallet for the forum will be bad idea. I like your idea but it isn't needed here. Smiley

That still sounds stupid to me.

People would rather sell it for a profit, than invest into a forum.

I'm sorry to say, but then a lot of people would just buy coins and store it when BTC declines.

So, this wouldn't be viable.
