What actually happened on Poloniex? Is there an official or at least reliable explanation? Are coins there safe? Anyone?

Could be totally unrelated to Monero. Also, doesn't make sense to DDOS an exchange if you're trying to kill an alt.

The largest trading in Poloniex is XMR.

BCX, was that you in the polo chat under a different name?

None of this meant to be a hostile action, I just want to see if XMR can fix their holes.

~BCX~

If you are saying that you are not irritated by the Monero propaganda merchants on BCT-ALTs you must have the patience and tolerance of a saint!

For the record I did not DDOS Poloniex.

If I did I promise you I would have told you.

I have nothing against Poloniex and have no interest bothering them.

As was pointed out by a few other posters, this is not my style.

More than likely some poser that was going to try and get some coins out of you.

None of this meant to be a hostile action, I just want to see if XMR can fix their holes.

Anyone can knock down a coin by hitting an exchange. No fun in that.

Believe what you want to believe but anybody that has been here for any time knows, that wasn't me.

~BCX~

So someone "hacked" your Poloniex account?

do you honestly think that Hackers would tell you if they are behind a attack ? Grow up man.

Can you even read?

The chain with 1.1 diff will make 12000 first.

I'm going to pull off the other chain and consolidate everything I got on the chain Cryptsy IS NOT on to make it to 12000 first.

Told those bastards not to ban me LOL

Uh huh. It reminds me of last week, when you claimed, you have no intention of attacking XMR or its users, remember?  Kiss You really are a present arent you? Wrapped up in nice silk on the outside, piece of malicious shit under.

this altcoins-game is a soap-opera and all of you are 5 year old clowns.

Which someone will inevitably profit from.

... more or less ... but at least bcx and rpietila had a lot of attention ... lulz

~BCX~

You mean by breaking into the exchange? how a simple ddos on a single exchange can knock down a coin?

EDIT:
btw I support your actions, As far as I know you never tried to steal anything but just using existing exploits to make troubles.
It is much better for us as a cryptocurrency community to reveal those holes and fix them before crypto become main stream (and then just imagine the impact of an exploit in the code).

You could be nicer and just talk with monero developers and explain the bug you found (maybe for a reward) - but that's your style so let it be Smiley

This alone shows how many people really hate the propaganda agenda by Monero on Bitcointalk.
