Bump!

I can't believe people invest in shady BTC stocks but not in real companies, heh.

Ive been turning the idea in my head of creating a Stock and ETF gateway to facilitate these trades.

Any thoughts please share
It would be a regulatory nightmare.  Much different than selling a single share.

I would be interested in using a service like that. As most of my money is in btc and it's currently impossible to diversify a portfolio outside of btcstocks/btc without converting to fiat first.

Will I get a check in the mail every quarter for the $3 dividend or something?
Yes.  I currently get them, so when I transfer the share to you (with your address), you will get a check every quarter.  If you make an online account with ComputerShare, you can also choose to have it sent to your bank account directly.

Also, I should point this out:

I understand that you might not want to give your SSN/Tax ID to ComputerShare.  However, ComputerShare is the official transfer agent for Apple stock, as well as many others (such as CitiBank, Pepsico, Barnes and Nobles).  They are as secure (if not more) and trustworthy as any bank or stock broker.

If you wouldn't give your SSN to a bank or stock broker, this is not the thread for you.

Now if only somebody offered GOOG! Wink (Sorry for OT.)

Good luck with the sale. If I didn't passionately dislike Apple I'd be interested Smiley
Hehe, no problem!

I want to make history by selling one REAL SHARE OF STOCK for Bitcoins!

Basically, here's how it'll work:
I have the share in DRS form with ComputerShare (Apple's transfer agent).  In order to transfer that share, I would need (at the minimum) your name and address.  To make the process faster, I would also need your SSN (or other Tax ID).  However, if you're not comfortable giving that to me, you can also be sent a form through the mail (by ComputerShare) and give them your tax ID that way.

This is not a pass-through with some shady Bitcoin stock exchange.  This is a real share of Apple stock!

The current share price is $444.95.  I would probably want to sell it for around $470, as I have to fill out all the forms to transfer the share to you.

You will have to pay with Bitcoins or a wire transfer.  Those are the only two options.  No, I will not accept PayPal.  No, I will not accept ACH.  Stock transfers are irreversible, so I cannot accept any remotely chargeback-able payment methods.

Please PM me, post here, or message me on IRC (danieldaniel) if you're interested!

Edit: I'm reposting this in the Securities subforum, so if a mod wants to delete this, that'd be great!
