Hah, can't delete my own topics on this board. Could a mod help me out here?
AFAIK you can't delete a topic on any board if it has been replied to, and a mod probably wouldn't delete it for you. Just lock the topic by editing the first post, going to 'Additional Options' and selecting 'Lock this Topic' and move it to Archival by pressing the 'Move Topic' link in the bottom left corner.

Instead of wasting your time on something that you will not use anymore nor contains any information, you can also just abandon your account and never come back...

Hello

I'm cleaning up years of old accounts and stuff. I created this account years ago and never used it, I'll never use it again so it'd just be easier if the account was deleted.

Thanks.
Deletion of account is impossible lol. Just set the password to something you wouldn't remember and consider the account gone.  Tongue

I don't know if you had more posts in the past but at the moment you have two posts which are easy to be deleted and changing your password, secret question and email is easy, don't know why you are still waiting!

Now that I think about it, OP could technically permanently lock his account by making a secret question and answering it successfully. Theymos made it so an account would be locked if this was attempted after a leak. Dunno if he's disabled this feature though.

Exactly! This is a brilliant idea, TGiFallen try this, many users here have their account locked because they tried to recover their account through secret question but forum is programmed in this way that locks immediately because of 2014's hack.

Afaik shorena doesn't do that anymore. But the OP can do it themself! Use a block hash or a randomly generated PW from random.org as your password, then set and forget!

Hi probably this is the wrong section.

but it's allowed by the forum rule ask to delete an account?

I'm sure a mod will move to meta.  But they don't delete account's there are many good reasons for this.  Imagine if scammers or other "bad guys" could do a scam then just delete account.    It could be a bad thing so they across the board do not delete accounts when  users ask for it.

The best he can do is delete all posts and change email to something you have no access to with a password you will not write down.  Effectively losing access to the account, but it will not be deleted.
