I have been trading tokens for some time. But what if all of a sudden they stop the token from a token exchange?what a closed token says. And will I ever get the closed token back? Is there a system? Tell me if there is.
But if somehow, the project does not have an active developer or team that still handles the project, the exchange can stop the token without any notice. It will depend on the exchange policy about how they will be listed and delisted the token.

Most of the exchange has this policy, They always announce and give time for token holders to react on the delisting process, They usually send push notification and emails to token holders about delisting process of the token. Good exchange will let you recover you coin despite it was delisted while shady/scammy exchange don't give a fck about your loss token, They will just blame you because for your inactivity. It is important to don't leave any tokens on your exchange account as common courtesy for crypto trader.
I think only some tokens that do not have progress will be removed from the exchange and even more so when there is an important case such as when the developer dies and makes the price collapse by a very sharp amount it will delete it from the exchange, there have been many cases like that .

delisted token on certain crypto exchange are usually sending an announcement via email and paskin on the newsfeed of a certain exchange site. However, if you failed to withdraw the token with the duration time expired it would be lost.
This why we have active on telegram channel and always check email about exchange market account, become holder is great ideas but we need active every week or every day to get new information, when our holding coin delist from exchange market we have time for selling or withdraw and sell on other exchange market before coin become scam without any exchange support for selling.

No exchanges definitely will not delist without token hodlers consent, they will make a announcement in their social networks before delist this token. So you will get opportunity to withdrawal from which exchanges. But if you didn’t withdraw within this schedule then you can lost tokens or will disappear your assets.
They will delits when they see fit like for example its not beneficial anymore for their company to list the token and just gonna burden their system with or without consent of token holders they will delist and then go to step as you said giving time for the token holder to withdrawal the coin otherwise it can't be recovered back. But I never see any de listing from exchange like uniswap that's why this exchange become popular very fast.

Before the exchange stops the token, they will contact the developer on the project and ask about the token. If there are no problems, the token will not delist from the exchange. But if somehow, the project does not have an active developer or team that still handles the project, the exchange can stop the token without any notice. It will depend on the exchange policy about how they will be listed and delisted the token. I do not know if there is a system on the exchange, but the exchange will constantly monitor which token has good trading volume and attention from the trader.

Of course there are tokens that are delisted on the exchange, therefore it is not recommended to hold tokens or altcoins on the exchange for too long.
for trading it is not a problem but for long-term investment it is better to have a personal wallet of each of these altcoins.
most such cases are triggered due to unqualified trades from the exchange. Some assets on Binance and Kucoin have also been delisted. and it will be bad if you miss notifications from the project team also from the exchange. usually, they notify by e-mail. and there is a period of time before it will all be lost.

There is an announcement from a certain crypto exchange if they'll gonna delist a particular token or a coin. This is to give you more time to sell off your token or swap it to other tokens and give you chance to exchange that token before they delete or delist it.

And if you missed the announcement, it was too late for you to get that back or recover it. Remember that a heads up from an exchange is significant for you to see and to manage those tokens that you hold.

Usually exchange willl make announcement via email about coins/tokens that they delisted. And we still have time usually for a certain time to withdraw our money out first but if we late, usually they can't help with anything. Like when i late to withdraw my HART, liquid can't help me anything and i lost my tokens.

They don't just stop trading it or allowing it on their website they always have some announcement first, in my experience. May I ask which exchange site are you referring to? I'm afraid that your token on exchange might be lost or probably just contact them to return your token that's the alternative way you can do, the worst is they might just ignore you and you'll lose those tokens of yours.

Usually an exchange will inform the customer before they delete a token, so that the customer can make a withdrawal. If within the specified time period the token is not withdrawn, the token will be forfeited.

Yes, that's right, the tokens that are deleted are tokens that are less attractive to those who invest, and these tokens also cannot win for a long time.
However, if the token that is deleted is replaced with an interesting token, that's a good thing.

As I know you will receive an email in advance. So check your email-letters and don’t hold coins that you are not sure about for a long time, as you can just forget about them and then they will be just devalued and delisted from exchanges.
On the other hand, talking about defi projects’ tokens, they can be swapped in either exchanges or in their web-sites. And if a token collapses you sometimes can still speculate on it using swap function on the web-site. I have one friend who bought a token that after a crash became 0.00000001$ in value and then it grew just a bit and my friend got 10x.

before they delete some token within the exchange of course they need to send updates to the community, as the matter of fact mostly exchanges sending notifications when there's an event or new listing coins. So for sure they will do the same way when it comes deleting a token.. If not then probably your money will be back to the spot account which the coin you always use to pair when trading token.

Usually they have info before closing or delisting the token, you can sell them, or transfer them to your personal wallet. But if you are late, you will lose your assets that are in that token. You have to be careful about this.

As far as I know, exchanges make announcements on social media or on other platforms before deleting. it seems that you are not updated with the exchange so you are left behind on news from the exchange

Usually exchanges will notify users if there are tokens to be removed and usually token developers will also inform the community if their tokens will be removed on one of the exchanges for some reason, but most developers will usually delete these tokens because maybe the old tokens will be deleted and swap  with new tokens and even then done after they issue new tokens or swap old tokens for new tokens has been successfully done.
Whereas the exchange will remove the token from their list because the token is a scam, transaction volume is small or some other reason.

The exchanges themselves give awareness to their users and traders if that be going to happen so those who hold that particular coin will still have time to withdraw or even to trade it. That is why we should care about reading any updates and email notifications coz that is only a medium to make you aware of. Because if ever you miss that, you no longer to touch your coin unless if the support team will help you out take some consideration but most likely they don't care about it as it was your responsibility as well.

As long as the exchange site was not suddenly stop all of its operation and then you can still withdraw your token from there.
When exchange site wanna try to closed a token and you will get a small announcement will be popping up when you were opening the trading tab of your token. You will get an information about when it will be closed and how long the deadline to withdraw your token from the exchange site back to your personal wallet. The exchange site will give you a link to the delisting announcement dude. You should not feel worry about that.

If you are trading in a reputable exchange, they wouldn't delist it right away. (Delisting is the right term to use instead of delete)

For example, I remember having an email and it includes this:
Quote
You are receiving this message because you hold a balance in XBC, VRC, NEOS, GRC.

We want to remind you that you have up to and including October 25th, 2018 at 12:00 ET to withdraw any balance of XBC, VRC, NEOS, GRC.

If your balance of XBC, VRC, NEOS, GRC is not withdrawn by this time, it will be archived and no longer offered for withdrawal. We urge you to withdraw as soon as possible.

To withdraw your assets, please visit the Balances page of your account and provide a withdrawal address for the currency you wish to withdraw. We will send another email reminder in the coming days leading up to the deadline. For more information about the delisting process, please visit our blog post. We greatly appreciate your support.

At least, with this, you would be able to put it in your wallet and keep it safe. I'm not sure but I know they stop trading with the coin if they are going to delist it.

Found some cases like this, usually they will informed to their customer that the token will be deleted in some amount of time. So before that, they usually allow us to transfer our token back to our wallet or another exchange that has the token. If they just delete it without any warning, i'm sure that's not a good exchange

Have not the exchange alarm you of locking or delisting ? because usually they will allow people to know first at least months before the action take off?

Bur best if you mention the token name and also the exchange involved so we can check and clarify about what had happened because you might have missed some details to put in OP.

There are some cases in this story

1. The exchange site was disabling the trade deposit and withdrawal, when you were facing this case and then you can do nothing with your token because all of the operation on exchange site gets terminated and what you can do wait for the exchange site to give an announcement about the continuation of their service
2. Exchange site was announcing the delisting of your token, in this case, you will be getting an email or announcement about that. The exchange site will also give you the time for you to be able to withdraw your money from the exchange site to avoid the loss caused by the trading close of your token.

If you are facing the first case and that's the worst thing.

Most of the time when an exchange closed and you didnt able to withdraw your token, it will lost. Much better to be observant and updated so that in advance you will get youre funds or token and transfer to your trusted wallet to save it and continue to be involved in crypto world.

If you mean delisting, then yes. Legit and proper exchanges always send notices either via email, telegram, twitter etc to investors to withdraw their token/coins before actually delisting. Some shady ones dont. And simply trap your crypto

Delisting of token usually come with announcement in advance and if you are really trying to follow the update regarding such coin you will definitely never missed such announcement. And if you want to know what kind of coin usually gonna gets delisted its the coin with low trading volume so if your coin that youre holding have low trading volume then always be alerted with notification or announcement from the exchange.

If you are talking about tokens or coins getting delisted from an exchange, then you will always be warned few weeks ago (or at least days ago) before they remove it. You will receive an email or notification on their exchange about the token getting delisted. You will be given enough time to withdraw your tokens. Even if you missed the time frame for some reason, you can always contact their support and they will help you manually withdraw your coins or tokens to your address. At least a well know exchange would do that for you.

Some exchanges do have assets that delist from their list. but mostly they will email each user first. and there will be a time span for making withdrawals. if you miss it, you could really lose your assets.
I myself have experienced it on the Kucoin exchange. I forgot to have deposited the token there. and apparently, my token was delisted from Kucoin. after some time I checked back and found I was too late.

Most of the time, exchanges will tell you in advance if they decided to stop trading the tokens. You will be able to withdraw your tokens then, usually, around 1-3 months before or after the trading is stopped. If you failed to withdraw until then, then there is a high chance that you'll lose your token forever.

As a precaution, you should not store your token for long if you're not planning on trading them. Just save it on your personal wallet so you don't need to be anxious every day.
