I think this is interesting. I believe the U.S got off the gold in the 1930's. I think this would be great for something like Greece to try out. I like the idea and I think it is great and it would get more people involved in bitcoin for sure. as for if it will happen, probably not.
I think we will more or less see nations with unstable currencies like zimbabwe use Bitcoin as their standard currency before others start to peg their dollar to it but I do think it might happen sooner or later.
