There is clear confession that he created safecex.com but he sold it. There is the possibility that it was the new owner that scammed the users and that the creator ignores completely the scam. It would be very strange that he would confess publicly being the creator of a scam. Shouldnt you investigate this? He is said to be CEO of Mantle. Everything is possible. You are right that this needs more investigation. This is what I am doing right now. I've tempered the message and will report back when I find more information.

Without knowing when he sold it vs when it went down there is not much to discuss.
If I wrote and setup and exchange and then transferred ownership to someone else then it it no longer my problem.
Since the article does not mention the shutdown I would think that he had no control over it at the time.
