That seems to be a good hubby but sadly there's no near lake or river into my place but I'd like to try that hobby too but not anytime soon.
As for purchasing things with bitcoin, just the usual guy that shops online with anything that I need on my home and computer parts.

I only went finishing once and it was kind of boring to just sit still at one place half of the day. The best part is eating your caught fish. I never bought any fishing gear. Most of Bitcoins I use for gambling, betting and just some treats for myself. Usually I buy new PC parts with my crypto money. The last thing I bought was a new monitor.

I do not buy fishing gear use bitcoin because my cousin give me that fishing gear completed with everything that is needed so I can use it directly 
But before, I have experience using bitcoin to pay bills. Since I see bitcoin potential and know that the price will increase so high, I stop using my bitcoin to purchase anything instead of just converting it into fiat. That is worth it for me because I can use that money to fills my needs.

I love finding different ways to use Bitcoin to fund everyday expenditures. These never amount to much though.
My biggest expenditures with my bitcoin have been fishing gear. I can't tell you how many times I have purchased Bass Pro giftcards on bitrefill. I had $100's of dollars in sat rewards from bitrefill from all the purchases.
