Well then, starting from your assumption, then the moderators should delete half of the posts on the forum.
Correct! Please Report those posts, so Mods can take action.

+1 (LOL)

That post looks like a piece of altcoin bounty shill which is probably why it was deleted.

This being said, I don't know why this post was of so much value to you?.

And yes please do support those mods by reporting posts that look like altcoin bounty shills, I'm sure it's very helpful for them 😂.

That post have no value since was posted when I was outside the campaign I've joined on 25 Feb (which btw has only 3 post requirements/week).

Can't see why the OP is upset about a deleted generic post on page 500+.

Maybe he lost his weekly stakes from his signature bounty. Cheesy

@OP your post might get deleted because of repetitive information or adds nothing to that thread which have 532 pages.

Same answer as above + "repetitive information"? Is there any rule that I broke with repetitive information?

Anyway.. forgot it.

Since no mod can answer/or don't have the time, this topic should be closed. Thanks the rest for your opinions!

but unfournatley they don't take any action as wells as they delete comment and give reply in bad language.
No moderator will reply you for reporting posts, either they can mark it as good, bad or sometimes it will be unhandled.
Which thread was the post in?

Thread : [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digital Currency

go to the last page to see that comment OP is talking about. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49888426

There are other reasons why posts get deleted, not just off topic. For example, you may have posted multiple times in a row, or Optimiza may have broken a rule and their post was deleted along with the replies.

Maybe the admin who deleted it thought your post introduced no new information to the topic. You agreed that the wallet works. If some previous posters wrote similar posts there was no need for one more I 'agree' post.
Regarding the 2nd part of your post with coins losing 80-100% of the value the reason could be the same. Maybe the bear market and coins losing value was posted in previous posts and so again your reply hasn't provided any new information.

I am just taking a guess here and might be wrong as I haven't checked that particular thread and the discussion in it.

Well then, starting from your assumption, then the moderators should delete half of the posts on the forum. Especially the ones starting with +1 since the poster agrees with someone else. Even in this thread they should delete @Mashfiqun post https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49925861 (no offence mate, is just an example) since he agrees with me and he doesn't provide no new information.

Anyway...

I thought @Optimiza was asking about: a broken wallet that has a problem, a current Cloak wallet, and a coin that should be valuable.

And you @othell_rogue answered: you agreed the wallet was fascinated, and you said it didn't matter, while he said it was problematic.

So I think you answered the question not connected or outside the topic of the question.

I rewrote the question.
Edit: from the source of the post.
Code:
Sad that cloak do down so much. The wallet is elegant and stuedy: l started staking out a number of coins last year, every single wallet hang up and became a hassle to manage, except the [b]Cloak wallet[/b] which l still stake to this day. this coin ought to be more valued than it is.

And your answer, try to learn once again matching your question and answer, or not.
Edit: from the source of the post.
Code:
I do agree that the wallet is working like a charm. No issue so far, which is indeed an good indicator of the team development skills, As for the value of the token, I wouldn't care to much in this bear market. every coin has lost between 80 and 100% of their value.

For that I think that your answer is deleted because it is outside the question. Maybe it was deleted by mod.

The concept of off/on topic in threads is really really difficult. The solution I've been most successful with (and I'm pre-Internet chatforum moderator old) is to have the original poster decide when the discussion that follows is on or off topic.

Else you end up in situations where the thread starter is fully ok with the discussion and a moderator starts deleting posts.

(In this case it should be somewhat easy for moderators to see if it's the thread starter that Reports to Moderator with "off topic" as reason)

This is not fair to the people responding to a topic, IMO. People who reply to topics should know that if they are on-topic and they follow the rules, they will not be censored. Also, it is very annoying for reply-writers when they write long, detailed responses and then the topics become off-topic and useless.

Maintaining perfect on-topicness is difficult. In the future, discussions may be made threaded instead of flat, which will basically be like having a system that automatically creates new topics when people are posting off-topic things (in many cases).

Is not a problem of a post, maybe the post has no value for them. But how they weight the value of the post? Is just weird that they don't state the reason of the post removal. I think the forum needs some improvements, like: "Your post was deleted with reason: xxxx". Just my opinion.
Well, that is actually a good idea. I hope the admin and moderators will take that into account.  Smiley

This may happen occasionally. If you think this is by mistake, wait for mods and admins to see this post.
But generally, I think my deleted posts are really not that much of value. So they are almost always right to delete something.

I agree with the OP that the reply wasn't some spammy/ off-topic response. After all, he was agreeing that the wallet works and the coin lost pretty much almost all its value just like the rest.

It's not like from those users who simply post the same recycled answers on a thread with 20 pages.

Normally posts will get deleted because of spam,off-topic or adding no value to that thread.

In this case your reply to the earlier comment looks off topic so it gets deleted.

LoL Off-topic!? How is that?

That guy was talking about the Cloak wallet and the price of the coin. How is my reply off-topic?

Thanks!
